Conversation with visual and installation artist ELIA BOSSHARD about her project ‘ROOM STUDIES’ showing at Kronenberg Mais Wright gallery (Sydney) from 19 May to 10 June 2023. 

The work explores various configurations of doorways within a rectangular space, and how their placement and quantity inform our movements through the space. 

Bringing attention to the constructed relationship between our bodies and spaces, these works consider potential for grater agency within the predesigned environments.

Janice grew up in New Jersey, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University with a degree in Communications.  From there, she worked in television as a Promo Writer/Producer at LIFETIME, A&E, USA, HBO, SHOWTIME and host of other networks.  She was nominated for a Clio Award, and received an Honorable Mention at the National American Women in Radio and Television Commendation Awards.  
Janice entered the music business in 2000, bouncing between NYC and Nashville. It was a life moment when the she was awarded the prestigious Abe Olman Scholarship Award for Excellence Songwriting in 2003 by the great Hal David. She soon began getting her songs placed in films, video games and in numerous TV shows.

To date, she has had over 60 placements with several more in the works. She has songs signed to a host of agencies including Glow Music Group, A&G Music, Pink Shark Music, Position Music, Heavy Hitters, Current Music, Imaginary Friends and Crucial Music.

Her songs have been recorded and released by a wide variety of artists. Most notably, her song “Pendulum” was included in the soundtrack for VH1 Love and Hip Hop: Songs from the Series released on Universal/Def Jam.  

She lives in Lexington, MA with her husband and daughter and writes with a host of wonderful collaborators from all over the world. Most recently, her song, “I Love This Time of Year” was placed in the holiday film, Christmas With the Knightlys.

Kimberly Johnson was mentored by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She loves sharing her experience of working through the tough things that come her way in life.
