A shorter piece from Lylat Wars, this simple, repetitive underscore for the map selection screen is in F minor, but interestingly takes the main normally Dorian StarFox theme and places it in a chromatic F Aeolian, with an interesting diminished trumpet motif in the later half.
This may be one of the few pieces aside from the main theme that is in a straight 4/4, but Kondo still makes liberal use of triplets throughout to add a bit of rhythmic complexity.

While many of Koji Kondo's pieces from StarFox 64 are iconic, none fill me with the level of excitement and determination "Corneria" does. This fascinating work begins with a very perky, but challengingly rhythmically offset, fanfare-like intro, and while this piece is in 12/8, much like "Meteo", this 12/8 sways between [(3+3+2+2+2)/8] and more of a 6/4 feel, with a frantic violin ostinato ripping away above a soaring, aching cello melody interspersed with a punchy brass motif passed from horns to trumpets that eventually gives way to it's own modal, uncomfortable fanfare section in the middle.
Due to the limitations around video game sound, such as not being able to fly off into a new key as the feeling suites you, Kondo is forced to return back to the original peppy intro key to close out his reprise of the minor cello melody, which leads to a very interesting tonal return as the piece repeats ad infinitum as you play.

This one took a lot longer to analyze, and the original content is a full two minutes long, which is extremely impressive considering the data limitations of the N64 at the time.

Hey, here is the release for a song I've worked on for two years, ID (Purpose) From Fire Emblem Awakening! It's been an extremely long journey but I've finally come around to releasing it. It's technically my second orchestral music venture, but It's my first one of this scale and I'm proud of the results. This song means a lot to me because it was the first song in smash brothers 3ds that I really loved. To me it communicated intense emotion and I tried to recreate it whilst still adding new elements that could possibly add to this fire emblem universe. I hope You enjoy!

Explanation:
I wanted to challenge myself to see how close I could get to the original song using an exported barebones MIDI from the FLP (like my SKULLIOSIS recreation!) Most of the plugins used are stock logic plugins and (from what I thought) better alternatives besides the respective Kontakt libraries and soundfonts. Some more significant changes would be using Shreddage II and Guitar Rig 6 for the rhythm guitar instead of Shreddage X and Revalver since there isn't a version that works for MacOS at all, and using Ample Guitar LP instead of UGK.

FRED the ALIEN Productions is a popular culture-centric art collective, where members explore their creativity and express themselves through podcasts, YouTube videos, and Melbourne stage shows.

Jordan Stream is an African-American music producer from Lake 
Charles, LA, who now lives and runs his business in 
Atlanta/Marietta, GA. He is a 2016 graduate of Sowela Technical 
Community College, is the founder of Beastin Bangers Studios LLC, 
and is a former signed recording artist with 16 + years experience. 
He is also a mix engineer, talent agent and videographer. He was 
taught piano by his grandmother, and carried over his talents as 
a church musician to the music business at the age of 15. As a 
teenager, Jordan was exceedingly famous by the artist name of 
DC-Zee, annually making headlines in his hometown; appearing in 
local newspapers, performing his original and catchy 
mainstream-like club bangers, and r&b songs. On YouTube, he still 
has memorable videos of college students dancing and battling 
to his music at several bars and clubs in Lake Charles, LA. Through 
the independent record label 'Take Your Shirt Off Records', in which 
he was discovered on Myspace in 2008, Jordan was blessed with 
the opportunity to produce remixes for, and collaborated with, 
some of New Orleans' hottest artists of all time, like Gotty Boi Chris, 
Hot Boy Ronald, Dj Blaq N Mild, and Big Ramp, just to name a few. 
He also has collaborations with other Louisiana Legends such as 
LEVEL, Wochee, and more. One of his longest playing singles on 107 
JAMZ & 104.9 KZWA, 'Whirlwind Booty', is still racking up views on 
YouTube since 2012. Jordan has since then evolved into what he 
calls a talent coach, and has found his new purpose by providing 
unsigned and major scale artists with professional studio services, 
industry-standard beats, and music industry knowledge. Jordan's 
most recent project consisted of a FREE mixing and mastering 
service, which he offered to recording artists in Atlanta on 
Facebook. He also followed up with 2 other FREE projects called, 
PANDEMIC SOUND and PANDEMIC DRUM KIT.

Adam Lindgren is a Seattle-based arranger/composer and vocalist who received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in 2016. Adam regularly arranged for the school's leading a cappella ensembles, Thundertones and Amplify, as well as composing and arranging for bands and choirs around the country. In the spring of 2016, Adam arranged Amazing Grace for 'Project Unity,' an a cappella single created with the goal of bringing the campus together in community through song. Project Unity has been lauded by Wheaton and has been featured on the college's homage, Facebook, Twitter and in the Spring 2016 issue of Wheaton Magazine. Adam's goal is to bring the emerging sonorities of contemporary and experimental classical music to a broader audience through thoughtful compositions and arrangements that blend the best of modern classical with conventional harmony, creating an innovative yet accessible library of music for the theorist, musician and listener. Adam sang in the Wheaton College Concert Choir, and now sings with Bellevue Presbyterian Church's Ensemble and Sanctuary Chorus choirs, formerly under the direction of Scott Dean, now under the direction of Dr. Brennan Michaels

My entire project focusses on Ambient, Hip Hop, Game, Electro, Experimental, Orchestral and Soundtrack music. My themes are often mysterious, suspenseful and dark but also vivid, epic and powerful, referring to Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Action-Thriller Soundtracks in various media formats.
