[ CHAPTER TWO ~ Read Between the Lines ]

(The camera fizzes out in a way that you've never seen a camera do before. It leaves you scratching your head. Thinking about it only seems to make it worse and give you a headache, and this only solidifies the feeling that something isn't quite right.)
(You've forgotten something, but you aren't sure what.)

[ * Frisk... That's a nice name. ]

F - [ * Thanks! I don't get that often - Usually I'm just made fun of for it, haha. ]

R - [ * Your name is Frisk? What, did you get named after what your- ]

[ * Raffles, I will punch you. Hard. ]

R - [ * Understood. ]

(Frisk is holding the camera now. They offer to hand it to Chara, but they decline.)
(The three of them continue to walk through the not-so-dense forest, leaving footprints in the snow and engaging in idle chatter as they do so. Chara seems mildly annoyed at Frisk's affability, though Frisk remains none the wiser.)
(Despite their chatter, the atmosphere remains... Tense. Eerie. Shadows move in the distance. Footprints that don't belong to Chara or Frisk appear in the snow, yet nobody pays them any attention. Have they passed that tree before, or are you just losing your mind?)

[ * This place doesn't exactly have walls, Raffles. Do you have any idea where we're headed? ]

R - [ * I've never been out of Her Home before. I've got no clue. ]

F - [ * I have an idea! ]

[ * Do tell. ]

(Frisk's movement stalls for a moment. They take a second to respond.)

F - [ * My lips are sealed. Trust me! Follow me! ]

Winter Wonderland

(The static on the camera has almost completely dissipated. Once the scenery comes back into view, the group is found investigating something in the snow - a handprint. It's much larger than any of their hands, and there are strange lines in the snow nearby, as if someone had dragged their fingers through.)

[ * This place smells. Gross. It smells gross. ]

F - [ * Is that not just Raffles? ]

R - [ * You don't have to be dead for me to eat you. ]

F - [ * Oh, I'll give you something to eat, smartass! ]

[ * Can you all shut up!? ]

(It appears the group doesn't get along particularly well. Chara's interjection was probably the only thing keeping the conversation from getting vulgar.)
(It's almost out-of-character. As the camera fizzes and sparks for a second, time jumped forwards about twenty minutes and the static returns. You can't make out much, but you can certainly tell what's going on by the group's reactions. Someone makes a noise similar to a stifled gag, and Chara is groaning in disappointment.)
(The camera pans up and shines its light at a tree - or something that looks like one. It's gnarled and twisted with decay, and thick strands of something dark and heavy hang from the tree and sway in the wind, making a strange and hard-to-pinpoint wet noise beyond the static. The strands glisten in the light, their texture disturbingly organic, like something once alive.)

[ * What the HELL!? ]

F - [ * This is- I can't look. I'm sorry. ]

(Raffles hurls a derogatory word Frisk's way, prompting Chara to turn around and catch them retaliating with an equally rude gesture.)

[ * You two are going to kill each other before the other demons down here get you. ]

F - [ * Seeing what happened to this tree, I think I'd rather that. ]

R - [ * I really hope those people weren't alive for that. ]

He decided to kill all his friends and all the monsters to overpower the player, but he has to be fast. Because, his determination consumes him slowly, while regret will chase him forever.
