I wrote and recorded this for my 11 (at the time) year old daughter as she was stuck in her room with COVID-19.  She was feeling depressed and I wanted to cheer her up.  It was complete in about two hours then it got lost in a hard drive crash.  I recently found a back up on another disk.

Longing, aching for the contact of a philosopher or scientist of another kind to help us discover the answers we have been seeking since the advent of our species on this lonely rock? Verona Street Melodrama is an idea started by Scott Melonball, also known as Melon. It is the story of every inner child left to wither away; it is the faint memory of every future creation that the now withered child wanted to see. Melon takes a somewhat unconventional approach to bass playing, choosing to mostly use his 6 string electric bass to compose entire instrumentals complete with chords and lead melodies. Inspired by producers such as San Holo, MangoDog, and STOiZY, Melon enjoys mixing digital and live instrumentation with an experimental use of effects pedals and plugins to create intricate walls of sound.

Craig Akin is an upright and electric bass player in Nashville.  He has played and recorded with countless musicians of many different styles.  From jazz to pop, and blues to rock, Craig is comfortable and creative, and can deliver the goods like any veteran on his instrument. He has performed well over 5,000 gigs and is featured on 100+ albums.
