I was working with the videos, songwriting tutorials through John Chisum to create this song. It was a fun challenge to have this song unfold with the direction of Nashville Christian Songwriters song challenge!

Whisper

My submission for Hugo Moroux and Ben Levin's monthly song challenge. This month we were tasked with making "mudpies." 
To make my mudpie, I took a 20 minute clip of me playing my out-of-tune upright piano, cut it up into 5 sections and layered them on top of each other. Then I took a recording of me screaming on my way to work, added that, and threw a bunch of distortion and delay all over it.

On January 27, 2022 the prompts were "Frank Sinatra" and "Stars." A song about what we call our loved ones, and how that changes when they leave us. Arranged with that old-school nostalgic Frank Sinatra vibe.

Moon And Stars

On January 8, 2021 the prompts were "6/8 time signature" and "Random Pinterest Quote." The 6/8 time signature was less of a challenge, and more a reminder that other time signatures besides 4/4 exist. The Pinterest quote was "The darkest nights produce the brightest stars." The result was this song about finding positivity in places where there seems like there is none (in my case, my university experience...)
