Smooth N Groove records is dedicated to bringing the sounds of drum and bass whether liquid, rollers, funk, atmospheric, or heavier styles to the forefront of the music scene. The label is based on both sides of the pond in Washington, DC, and Northampton, UK.

Since its inception in 2016 Smooth N Groove has established a respectable place within the scene with full support from their peers and an ever growing fan base. Over the years the imprint has released music from some of the scenes very best, both digitally and on Vinyl. Additionally, the label has thrown multiple yearly events in Northampton, UK, Los Angeles, USA, and San Francisco, USA alongside Scott Allen of Soul Deep, and Jon Crossland of SoulStructure.

2024 looks to be another major year for the label with multiple releases, vinyl projects, guest mixes, merch, and label events.

Chaque pièce de cet album a une signification et une raison d'y paraitre, et dans le contexte irréel de sa manifestation, la pièce FROM HERE TO ETERNITY de Giorgio Moroder (1977) donne tout son sens à l'album en connectant l'histoire des débuts du mouvement électronique jusqu'à l'éternité en passant par ce 23 nov 2024, jour très symbolique. 

Merci à la légende et mon grand ami Michel Simard alors présent, qui l'a simplement loadé sur un deck en disant "essai donc ca voir, me semble que ca rentrerait bien" Let's Go!

Inspiré dans son travail par de grands noms tels Rick Pier O’Neil (RPO), Nick Warren, Chus&Ceballos, Hernan Cattaneo, Green Velvet ou D-Formation, Chris de la Costa émerge de la scène underground en 2017 avec ses premières apparitions grand publique et depuis, a joué pour le prestigieux Festival Black& Blue, le CIRCUS AfterHours, de même qu’en obtenant une résidence aux soirées Fun Factory du légendaire Salon Daome de Montréal, reconnu pour son standing musical élevé et la qualité de ses danseurs. 

En 2017 et 2018, il réactive son émission radio universitaire TknoGrüv Montréal, qu’il avait tenu en 2003-2004 sur les ondes de CISM 89,3FM, et contribue ainsi à la promotion des talents montréalais à travers le monde en diffusant des Dj locaux durant toute une saison.

Since 2020 I'm again actively playing music as a Dj, mainly for Ecstatic Dance. Already in my early youth I had my first attempts behind the turntables. Between 2008-2015 I recorded and released various mixsets under the synonym 'beatcook / beatCuisine'.

Playing the handpan has been enriching my musical repertoire for more than three years and over time binaural beats, nature sounds and mantras have become part of my music.
