Der für uns noch unbekannte Manu aka Soulcat bereichert unsere Aufnahmenreihe heute mit einem besonders energiegeladenen Mix im Stile einer Dirty Disko direkt aus der Station Endlos in Halle. Wer noch nie dort war, sollte dies schnellstens ändern. Es lohnt sich. Und bei der Musik wie dieser hier, sowieso.

✔️ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Früher spielte ich in diversen Bands Gitarre und Saxophon und nahm auch mal das Gesangsmikro zur Hand. Von Haus aus mag ich handgemachte Musik eigentlich weitaus mehr als Elektronisches,  bin aber über die Jahre dem Beat und den Nächten der Stadt verfallen. Ich mag es, meine aktuellen Lieblingstracks aneinander zu reihen und damit eine Atmosphäre zu kreieren und einen Spannungsbogen zu spannen. Wichtig ist und bleibt für mich die Präsenz von Melodien, Gesängen und/oder instrumentalen Samples. Jede Lebensphase hat glaube ich auch seine musikalische Phase, gerade haben es mir besonders Disko, Italo und 80s angetan. Außerdem mag ich fette Synths und Acid Sounds. Und tanzbar sollte es natürlich sein!

✔️ Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Gute Freunde sind natürlich unersetzlich. Nicht fehlen darf nebenbei ein langer Atem, obwohl es schon wieder hell ist, das Gefühl noch ewig machen zu können, weil der ewige Beat, die schweren Beine weiter trägt und leicht fühlen lässt und den subtilen Anflug von Unvernunft und Gedanken an morgen verfliegen lässt. 

✔️ Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?

Es war schon sehr früh/oder sehr spät (wie man´s nimmt) :D Sozusagen zur besten Afterhour Zeit. Außerdem war es für mich das erste mal, dass ich ein richtiges Floor-Closing spielen dürfte. Zunächst war ich ein wenig enttäuscht, dass der Floor so spärlich besucht war, hatte dann aber das Glück, dass kurz bevor ich anfing, der Nebenfloor dicht machte und die Leute von dort herüber geströmt kamen und dieses Erlebnis für mich zu einem einzigartigen machten. Danke fürs tanzen und für den von euch bewiesenen langen Atem:)


✔️ Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?
