Short little jingle created in the style of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop: using sounds recorded and manipulated to sound other wordly.

The sounds I recorded for this are:
Bass drum = spoon
Toms = plastic bowl
Static = music box motor
Pad = my voice
Bass (low alarm) = whistle
Lead = music box and vowel sounds

My husband's chainsaw was misbehaving so he was tinkering with it. All I heard was a sick beat waiting to be extracted. Opens with about 45sec of being silly with the sampling and then the gloves come off.

For the 11th day of NaPoWriMo/NaPoGenMo 2024, I decided to remake the rhyme scheme generator for a shorter poem, coded in Python.

For the 19th day of NaPoWriMo/NaPoGenMo 2024, I decided to use the rhyme scheme generator and speak out the poem through SonicPi. Then edited a bit after to aid the muddle effect.

Mackward Basking was created by playing 3 different sounds and instruments, voices backwards.  It was then manipulated and effected via a sound mixer.  This was an experiment as it will be an experiment to your ears.

The original sound comes from bubbling water, which has been stretched, retimed, and transformed into a sustained mid-to-low-frequency ambient texture. The sound floats through space like a whisper, as if emanating from a sleeping wine glass, reflecting a dreamscape of intoxication and deep, flowing resonance.
