Northern Lights

This is the teaser for the official, original soundtrack for Earthborne Rangers, a customizable, cooperative, adventure card game set in the wilderness of the far future for 1 – 4 players. 

From composer Tom Figgins: 

"One of the major aspects driving my initial thoughts was the binaural possibilities and expanding the solo experience, pushing the sound effects, creating space, environments and doubling down on the mood. Mixing this in Dolby Atmos allowed for us to physically move some of the sounds in the audio space to give them more intrigue. 

Quite early in the process the nylon string guitar began to be the “voice” of the rangers and in my early discussions with Andrew this was an instrument and flavour that was ever present in his initial thinking so, it seemed like a no-brainer. Merging that with the cinematic style that I consider to be my own is how we got to where we are now. 

I knew I wanted each path type to have its own feel and it was imperative to find a way to make them all feel like they were part of the same world - part of the Valley!
