Donnie Cosmo hails from Colombia and has been turning the heads of those who know with great outings on the likes of Gene on Earth’s superb label. Now the master beat maker is back, this time to inaugurate the SpaceWax label out of Germany with his Lost Galaxy EP.

This one opens with ‚Mission Control‘ which is a busy and mind melting mix of broken beats and fleshy bass, cosmic synths and psychedelic colours. ‚Lost Galaxy‘ is another fresh tech house cut with bumping drums and all manner of warped and alien sound effects bringing the beats to life.

‚Common Ancestors‘ gets more heady still with trippy acid lines and irresistibly funky and bumpy drum work. This more serene and astral workout ends with the charming ‚Flash Gordon‘

After a year in the making, the highly anticipated second release is finally here, and it’s well worth the wait.  

Lithuanian DJ and producer Tourman is on board for this mission, delivering a four track EP that covers a wide spectrum of hypnotic and dancefloor ready sounds.  

The A-side kicks off with 'Colourless Tasteless', a stellar bomb, an absolute floor destroyer packed with energy and mind bending soundscapes, followed by 'Yucatán', an acid infused roller designed for trippy dancefloor moments.  

On the B-side, 'La Wamba' shifts the mood into a mix of hypnotic tech house, rolling synths and summer infused vibes, offering a versatile selection perfect for any set.  
'Clear Sign' closes the EP with a blend of warm summer vibes and infectious rhythms.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
