Speaking in tongues did not take a hiatus from the practice in the first century until the 19th and 20th centuries. It happened throughout history. We will look at that history and speaking in tongues and prophecy in the Old Testament. We will also cover the Cessationist arguments against tongues and which denominations are open to it. This is the first of two sessions with different groups.

There are two operations of speaking in tongues.. The first is while you are pregnant as your prayer language. We will look at 1 Corinthians 14 and other passages dealing with speaking in tongues as a prayer language for each believer. What is the purpose of praying and singing in tongues? Can you control it?

The second operation speaking in tongues is as a gift of the Spirit to minister to others in a service or gathering. We continue talking about 1 Corinthians 14, Romans 12, the uses of this gift, and how it is used with other gifts. How do we know the Spirit is prompting this to use this gift? Who controls the gift of speaking in tongues?

In the age of Google translate, a wide variety of study tools for learning languages, and services of interpreters, why do we still need the gift of speaking in tongues? We look at the reasons for continuing to operate in the prayer language and the gift of speaking in tongues. We will also look at the benefits of speaking in tongues for everyday Christian life. For believers and the Church today. This will also be a time for Q&A, although we will be asking questions and answering them throughout the life group.

BELIEVERS BE ENCOURAGED, THE PROMISE IS FOR YOU TOO!

This precious sister never heard the gospel Bishop Johnson preached, but after being told what little was shared with her, she took the chance to go after the promise, not fully sure, but was looking for a change deep within. She got baptized according to Acts 2:38 on April 20, 2019 and testified of receiving the Holy Ghost April 22nd 2019. And for every one of us, the thing to do is continue in the apostles’ doctrine like the Bible tells us (Acts 2:42), which Bishop S.C. Johnson's recordings give to you. 

In this case, this sister knew she had it back on April 22nd 2019, but prayed here July 26th 2019 for any doubt to be put to rest and to have a witness. There was a witness present in the home with her (as you may hear a knob turn in the restroom *background noise*). 

Note: WE DO NOT know what language(s) she spoke. Someone in the earth does.

This is a witness that this soul received the same gift as they did on the day of Pentecost, and as souls still receive today and shall. The Bible says “prove all things”.

May God bless every hearer to understand again, although this was not the first day this sister received the Holy Ghost, she was not speaking unlawfully, this day came by prayer with the purpose of having a witness. Remember, they had witnesses on the day of Pentecost: “Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.” 
“Acts 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” “Acts 2:11 […] we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”


Since then, if she would speak in the congregation or presence of someone, there should be an interpreter: “1 Corinthians 14 verses 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.”

Wonderful to have instructions through the word of God, by the late man of God, Apostle Bishop S.C. Johnson.

Holy Ghost Manifest - Sister L.M.F - North Carolina - July262019

Glory to God! On May 1st 2022, with the help of God, brother Michael (the eldest of 4 children) becomes first to break by the devil to keep tarrying, calling on the name of "JESUS" until God baptized his soul with the gift of the Holy Ghost. This day charged the other seekers in our midst, which his two brothers end up getting the Holy Ghost afterwards, so the sister of these 3 brothers is left, whom God is able to fill her with his Spirit just the same!

At least some of the saints had received this text message the evening of May 1st 2022 (8:25 pm), from the uncle of these children: 
"Praise the Lord my Brothers.
We just got out of another tarrying service. My nephew Brother Michael just told me that he's going to tarry again and that something happen to him this morning. He said God changed his prayer and he strongly believes he's getting the Holy Ghost tonight! He's tarrying again right now! Pray that the Holy Ghost will fall tonight!"

Here is the record of how faithful God is, to do what he said he will do. 

Note: this recording is longer than the previous manifestation we uploaded, but may it serve as encouragement for those that may faint when seeking the Holy Ghost a short amount of time, to keep calling! He is nigh thee!

Holy Ghost Manifest - Brother Michael B. - Maryland - May1st2022

Glory to God Almighty! On May 3rd 2022, with the help of God, brother Elijah (Second oldest of 4 children) becomes the third to break by the devil to keep tarrying, calling on the name of "JESUS" until God baptized his soul with the gift of the Holy Ghost. This was a beautiful display of God's faithfulness. Years prior, these children were in a tarrying meeting when the Holy Ghost fell November 28th 2019. Being there hearing all the joy, when you leave without the Holy Ghost can be discouraging. But Thank God for Bishop Sherrod C. Johnson who taught us to be encouraged when seeking the Lord, and to get glad about it (in general, not just for the Holy Ghost). And so, God blessing the saints to put these words into practice, we aimed to encourage the seekers along the way. These children are blessed to have a family that kept them encouraged at the altar.

May this be enlightening for those that believe and those that have unbelief. God is real. God bless you all to walk in the truth as you hear it at Bishop S.C. Johnson's mouth. There's not another gospel like this one, O earth give ear.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton, opting to use Paul Nolan – MYT (Make Your Transition https://www.transition.studio/ ) course in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.
