This mix is an expanded recording of a set I created for the Adera event. The idea came out of a therapy session where I was asked to create a "grief box"—a space to hold what felt too big to process. That assignment helped me realize that sometimes, it’s impossible to feel everything at once. To survive, we have to learn how to set it aside.

When I first played this live, I designed the set to move through different emotional arcs: dissociation, confession, tenderness, and clarity. But during the performance, I found myself looping back into devastating sounds. Healing is not linear. It didn’t feel finished.

I re-recorded the set alone in my apartment, hoping to reach catharsis. But even then, I couldn’t quite scratch the itch. So for now, I’ve decided to close the grief box again—stow it away until I’m ready to return.

This is my most vulnerable, earnest work to date. It’s not just a set—it’s a narration, a composition of memory. I hope it serves something for you, too.

This is a long time in the making. I've always been transfixed with parallels, opposites, light and dark, happiness and sorrow. This mix encompasses how I can feel in a single day, being highly sensitive, an embodiment of the trials of being. A sum of of extremes. It is experimental and emotive, chilling and spooky yet ethereal and joyous. Conveying that both are never too far removed from each other. This is deliberately jarring at times, screechy, booming. I tried to replicate the feeling of space by riding hard bass lines over each other, sometimes into the red to achieve that effect. Slightly off beat to create a Gallop, an urgency, a swing or a groove. 

The contrast of light and dark, soft and hard, fast and slow is apparent throughout, often sharp and sudden, sometimes seamless and barely noticeable. All juxtaposed with intent and purpose. This was recorded in my cans, without speakers, raw, with a few "mistakes", this wasn't about achieving the perfect mix. This was sheerly about expression, many of these tracks have sculpted me as a DJ, and i aspire to be able to create such masterpieces soon. 

Burial has had a massive impact on me. From the moment i heard Endorphin, I was hooked. It creates such emotion, it felt like I had been transformed into song, me, a personification of this production by Burial, chilling, soft, provocative, jarring euphoria, perfectly imperfect.

I've been accruing these tracks since 2008. I compiled them into a playlist, fully unprepared, having never tested them out together, so it's quite stripped back, not overly heavy on FX, but definitely hit my stride on a few occasions.

Cool pretty icy sparkly tune, had to rework a lot of stuff from my Serum 1 presets not transferring over right; just decided to not install Serum 1 at all and redo everything "from scratch" in Serum 2--new version actually sounds a lot prettier and wider from testing a few spectral mallet type sounds.

Sno Drone (Midtempo)

Made this out of a really pretty sound design session working on some organs, using Zebralette and Zebra 2, then I ended up doing a lot of research and creating some patches mimicking them in Serum 2, finally layering them together with some flute leads plus the obv acid goodies.

Art is a mix of mine with like .2 denoise on stable diffusion run in ComfyUI, actually a rare case where I managed to get it to not only destroy my art but accent it nicely (although needed a good 30 minutes of cleanup to get rid of the real weird AI artifacts I kind of appreciate the hybrid workflow.
