In Deepest BN1 Volume 10

First one of my new 'Select' mix-series! With these mixes the emphasis will be on having fun and just flowing nicely behind the decks, rather than really telling a story which is what I try to do with the 'Moments' mixes.

This time I was really feeling the House and Garagey vibe, including music by Malin Genie, Cousin, Prozak, Spincycle, Adam Pits, and many more. Enjoy!

SPIN CYCLE is an upbeat series of sets focusing on Pop, Dance, and Top 40 music. Whether you are working out or doing laundry... Spin Cycle will raise your spirits and move your hips. 

"VOODOO PU$$Y" is focused on HyperPOP, Dance, and some top 40 hits. Inspired by my best friend DJ URTHTONED, I was obsessed with his mix "Somersault 129 (Urthtoned) “DDR* Reloaded: The Re-up” and fell headfirst into the world of dance and hyperpop music. It became my go to workout track and I my goal was to make something that makes him feel the same way while adding my own personal touch.

Dara is a designer and maker based in London with a background in architecture, product and graphic design. He believes in design's capacity as a service to help people, and to bring joy and decadence to their everyday lives. Following completing a master's in interior design at the royal college of art, he has been working across as many disciplines as possible in as many processes as possible. He continues to ask himself "Can design serve as an emotive tool beyond its practical purpose?”. He aims to develop a cohesive and accessible design vocabulary through his ongoing curiosity and personal investigations while maintaining a close alignment with culture through art, fashion and music. Through collaboration with friends, he has been organizing parties and gatherings in London that aim to offer a platform for different communities to intersect, meet, and have fun together, connecting through their common interest in music. 

This mix is a collection of tracks by artists that inspire his local scene and have been a constant reference point in his creative journey.

Joe has been been trying to craft the perfect transition between two records for the last 30 years,  one day he'll get there but until then,  welcome to the official home of Brutal Willis where we specialise in the exclusive currency of Global Electronic Soul. 

I managed Vinyl Frontier Records in Woking,  Surrey for the best part of a decade..... living, breathing,  loving and sharing repetitive beats.   I have been fortunate enough to grace the platters at lots of different clubs,  events and festivals up and down the country and Europe.  I co ran the legendary night "Shuffle" (which may come back one day).  I won the coveted "bedroom bedlam" mixtape award for Muzik magazine, residencies at the Cross, The Pool , Piranah's and 333 in London and was awarded the Percy Thrower Lifetime achievement award for services to the green plant.  I have played at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Kimberley, Orchard amongst  many others and more recenly a regular fixture at the Give ! festival for House of Honey.   These day's I can be found deep in stock pots working culinary magic for all kinds of people,  however you may still catch me behind the platters (that matter) as much as I can.  I love music with a captivating groove, a glowing warmth,  sincerity and emotion however it comes and still relish the opportunity to share my sounds manually through the medium we know as Vinyl.  As long as it's available I will continue to support it,  everything about it just works and I believe it helps strengthen our beloved scene.
