We unconsciously blank out pain we might have suffered by getting stuck in ‘self medicating’ habits, which can adversely affect mental and physical health.

This poem is an attempt to encourage and reassure. It is a reminder of the importance of self love… for we are all unique and special. Unless you like and love yourself first it is impossible to live the fulfilled and meaningful life every one of us deserves!

I felt the seasons change but i ain’t see me changing within em,
Don’t let your pride lead to the constriction of your disposition,
God’s generosity in full effect when i take a breath,
scalpels always prefaced the incision now we surgin passed the realm of flesh
Roll with punches, or battle for display of braver fists?
Same ones that be mouldin for labours of love make it make sense,
my lateness,
Be the most brazen of statements,
Unapologetic handcraft sturdier abodes where the peace wasn’t shaken

Squeamish in anguish,
Fiendish for answers
Grieving the fractures
Sweepin the passage

sweeten the pact wit,
A bunch of shit they really couldn’t guarantee,
How much of your incentive is cream?
How quickly bubbles pop when it’s froth,
i ain’t hostage to my feelings that’s Stockholm,
What you transmit, had a block on,
