The Wide World

A Christmas-themed, cinematic composition created exclusively with the BBC Symphony Orchestra Professional library by Spitfire Audio. The entire piece was recorded and arranged in Cubase Pro 14, then mixed and mastered in Logic Pro.

For audio processing I used AIR Reverb Essential by Spitfire Audio, EQ Logic Pro, Ozone Imager 2, and Panagement 2 to give the music space and clarity. The mix was intentionally kept simple in order to preserve the natural character of the samples and their placement in the hall during recording.

This piece serves as a demo, showcasing the sonic possibilities of BBCSO Professional in a festive, cinematic atmosphere.

Świąteczna, filmowa kompozycja stworzona wyłącznie przy użyciu biblioteki BBC Symphony Orchestra Professional od Spitfire Audio. Całość została nagrana i zaaranżowana w Cubase Pro 14, a następnie zmiksowana i zmasterowana w Logic Pro.

This piece is a first take on the completely free Spitfire Audio library "SSO Discover". Since it's free, the samples are partially crippled but hey, the quality of the sounds is quite outstanding. Here, I experimented with the short notes of the string part and developed a simplistic symphonic song structure.

Keir Crawley is now a full time educator and increasingly a some time composer (who studied with Andrew Lovett, Daryl Runswick and Glen Morgan at Trinity College of Music) who occasionally wishes it was the other way around! 

Keir Crawley’s music has been performed at The South Bank Centre (The Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall), St John’s Smith’s Square, Maida Vale Studios, St. Martins in the Fields, The Cochrane Theatre, The Royal Academy of Dance, The Central School of Ballet, Trinity College of Music, The Royal College of Music, The Royal Academy of Music and The London College of Music. As an arranger and orchestrator Keir has worked for the BBC, Channel 4, EMI, Sony, Teach Through Music, Music Excellence London, Old School Assembly, Shades of Blue , English National Opera and the LW Group.

During the 1990s Keir won the Chappell Prize for Composition (twice!) and in 2015 was awarded a Mayor of London's Music Excellence in Schools award for his now 26-year-old community music school. In 2015 Keir was also short listed for a Sussex based international composers festival. More recently in 2024 and 2025 Keir’s music was once again short listed (down to the final 15 from over 2,000 entries) for a composers festival based in New York.

A former ballet dancer and soloist, Christian became an art director and film maker, based in Berlin, Germany. In 2013, he founded "Klassik.TV", Germany's first IPTV station for classical music. Since early childhood, Christian was a musician and composer. While being a professional in the theater-, entertainment- and tv-production-world, he always continued music compositon as a sideline whenever time allowed.

R. T. Batista is a versatile music composer for video games, specializing also in soundtracks for trailers and film scoring. His expertise ranges from electronic to orchestral, including writing for bands and large ensembles such as big bands. Since 2019, he has contributed to over 30 game projects, including Moth Kubit (Nintendo Switch/PC) and Stickman vs Zombies (90 million downloads on play store). His music transforms narratives into immersive sonic experiences with excellence and impact.
