One last summer

pendulumii is a sonic portal to the minute moment between the unmade and the remade. Swinging across Boston, NYC, Northwest China, and Mexico, pendulumii invites promiscuous listenings that spiral into where contacts are happening in cities and elsewhere. As an anthropologist and ethnomusicologist/sound artist, Jiu and Wen cite, repeat, and simmer sounds, musics, words, and movements. 

In our debut mixtape, pendulumii moves in and with various field recordings collected throughout the years, mixed with spoken words, musics and sounds we like, and some of our original compositions.

Pouria Rostami, known as ROSTAMACE, is a pioneer in Steel Mace Training and an exceptional music producer and composer. He skillfully merges the ancient art of mace training with his captivating musical creations.

Pouria's journey began at age 10 with martial arts, learning from seasoned practitioners and developing the innovative Rostamace Routine, which prioritizes functionality over sheer strength. His training is deeply influenced by his heritage as a descendant of the legendary warrior Rostam.

In music, Pouria's talent emerged early. By age nine, he had completed formal lessons and began rigorous training in composition and production. Under the moniker ROSTAMACE, his music transcends language, weaving tales of love, passion, and joy, inviting listeners into a world where melody is the universal language.

FloW. is my latest project, which I’ve been developing on and off for the past two years. FloW. sits somewhere between Wave, Electro, and Indie Pop - sometimes dark, sometimes driving, but always honest.

My lyrics aren’t classic song lyrics - they’re fragments, thoughts, reflections of my inner chaos.  The vocals in my tracks are created using text-to-speech - not AI-based, just simple synthesis. I see the voice as part of the sound design, not as a performance. It’s not about pretending or hiding - it’s about consistency: if the music is synthetic, the voice can be too.
