✨ Emel Mathlouthi, artiste tunisienne révolutionnaire, mêlant poésie, engagement et électronique avec son album MRA — un manifeste féministe et sonore.
⚡ Ammar 808, producteur tunisien visionnaire, tisse un pont entre le folklore mezoued et les basses futuristes du Club Tounsi.
🌙 Sandy Chamoun, chanteuse et performeuse libanaise, nous guide dans un univers de transe et de poésie, entre son travail au sein du groupe SANAM et son projet solo Ghadr.

Autour de ces voix, Farrah évoque aussi l’actualité culturelle de novembre :

les concerts d’Emel Mathlouthi et d’Ammar 808 au VK,

Representation comes from the artist but an artist can only paint what they know or desire. Outside influences are noise. Somewhat offensive? Possibly...maybe...but honest nonetheless. What is art without honesty? What is speaking without having something to say?

My poetry and art are driven by a complex combination of emotion, sensitivity and vulnerability, with the conviction that the sincerity and depth of true expression should not be dictated by audience. 

As an artist, I would rather be disliked for being who I am, than to be adored for being someone that I am not. Art isn't about adoration, it's about expression. Art and poetry, in their purest forms are unapologetic, boundless and without filter — as are these recordings. There is no filter here, only intense passion, with the occasional possibly nonsensical musing.

Bass-driven rhythm, lyrics, and a love of sounds that cross borders.

A producer and writer currently based in Andalucía, Spain, his sound pulls from hip-hop, garage, 2-step, afrobeat, bhangra, R&B, soca and more – music he grew up with in the UK and has continued to build on through life and the places it’s taken him.

Shaped by the wordplay of 90s hip-hop and an open mind, it all comes together in bass and lyricism.
