Een buzzer beater van Worthy de Jong besliste in over time het duel met Frankrijk. Een scenario, dat an sich al een Hollywoodfilm waard is. Hoe is dit avontuur vanaf de start van de groepsfase tegen China beleefd? We blikten erop terug met bondscoach Aron Royé.

Onze Handbaldames zijn op de Olympische Spelen in Parijs helaas gestrand in de kwartfinale. Tegen Denemarken kwam Oranje al heel snel 5-1 voor, maar daarna kwam het aanvallend niet meer zo makkelijk langs de Denen, pakten zij op hun beurt het initiatief over en werd het uiteindelijk 29-25. We blikten erop terug en bespraken het verdere verloop van het toernooi met international Loïs van Vliet.

Waar de Olympische Spelen in Parijs nu volop bezig zijn, gaan de voorbereidingen voor de Paralympische sporters volop door. Eind augustus is het voor onder meer Team NL Boccia zover. In de Sporthallen Zuid is, in samenwerking met Topsport Amsterdam, een gelijksoortige vloer neergelegd die de bocciaspelers in Parijs ook tegen zullen gaan komen. Zo kunnen zij zich zo optimaal mogelijk voorbereiden. Hoe gaat dit bijdragen aan een topprestatie straks in Frankrijk? We spraken erover met Roy de Haas, bondscoach van Team NL Boccia.
