This's my first time playing this song for my parents during their first time seeing me perform live at a genuine, bona fide bar gig. Sure, there will be smoother, better sounding performances, but there is an absolute, undeniable real raw authenticity here that, in my mind, ultimately captures the whole point of why we, as human beings, even engage in music, poetry & artistic expression. Said differently, sure, I could sing this song better, but this's what it's all about. Don't know that it will ever make it onto any album-length compilations, but thought it deserved to be preserved in its own right.
