Songs written by Billy Rose, one of the most important impresarios and theatrical showmen of the first half of the 20th century, open this edition of "Music & Lyrics," the public radio series about American songwriters (including "I'd Rather Be Blue," "It Happened In Monterey," "I Found A Million Dollar Baby In A Five And Ten Cent Store," and more).  Also on the program, tunes written by Harold Arlen ("If I Only Had A Brain," "Hooray For Love"); Arthur Herzog Jr. ("Some Other Spring," "God Bless The Child"); and Milton Ager ("Hard Hearted Hannah, The Vamp Of Savannah," "Happy Days Are Here Again").  Bobby Short, Tierney Sutton, Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams, Carmen McRae, Al Jarreau and George Benson, Shirley Horn, and Barbra Streisand are among the performers featured.  "Music & Lyrics: Billy Rose" was produced at, and premiered December 5, 2025, on, WQCS-HD2 and WQCS.org, public radio for Florida's Treasure Coast.
