HVSBND is FUBAR is in Esperanto. The song repeats the word "ba" with delay and echo. The word "ba" translates to "nuts." In case you don't know FUBAR is an acronym for "fouled up beyond all recognition". It originated as U.S. military slang and was first recorded between 1940 and 1945. 

The themes of this album reference (among other things) US Military then and now, mining culture, and the pleasures and terrors of domestic comfort.

I wrote this song in 2003 I believe.  WOW, that was a long time ago. I was about to move to Canada with my partner at the time and I was scared for the move but also believed it was for the best and the right thing to do. I guess I was feeling driven at the time too. The song is an uplifting and motivational song about starting over, being positive and being the best that you can be.  I produced this track in 2013 and it was on my debut album 'Shades Of Red' (which I recently took off of spotify) and will be reposting in the near future.  You will hear lots of piano and harmonies too!  Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for listening!

Described as “absolutely brilliant” by BBC Radio, singer-songwriter Annie Bonsignore is a multi award-winning, genuine triple threat.  This singer, songwriter, and pianist recently completed her third studio album, “Durban Girl”, with famed producer Fred Mollin (Billy Joel, BB King) in Nashville, released April 2018.

The South African native was born to a large musical family of 7 children, and has been composing music since 8 and singing professionally by 10. She’s since had a broad career performing and song-writing both here and internationally. Bonsignore has released two critically praised (BBC and CBC) self-produced albums of original works: Shades of Red (2014),  and Be Careful What You Wish For (2016).

Bonsignore’s many accolades include: Toronto Independent Music Award (Finalist, 2017), a Newmarket Jazz Festival Fan Choice Award (Winner, 2017), The Hogtown Hang Fan Choice Award (Winner, 2015), Q107’s Vocal Contest Winner, Coca-Cola Pop Stars (Finalist), as well as South African Idol (Finalist). She’s also been featured regularly on BBC Radio, CBC Radio including guest interviews on Fresh Air & Big City Small World, The Drew Marshall Show, Snap’d Magazine, BID Magazine, allnaturalmusic.com, and more. Ttwinz is her independent label. Shelly Truman is a producer and performer based in the US West Coast, from Port Townsend, Washington and Tonopah, Nevada. She creates electro, techno, with environmental soundscapes, drum and bass, ambient, synth, dark wave, electro-pop, and downtempo sound collages. Primarily a keyboardist, she also plays a variety of instruments, produces, mixes, and masters her own work. She uses environmental sounds, such as owls, orcas, coyotes, meticulously matches beats and sometimes lets things glitch out.
