This year was a difficult one for me creatively. I wanted to do so much more, but every ounce of energy I had felt like it was spent just trying to survive. And I almost failed at that too. 

This mix got me excited again. Putting it together, though a tad stressful, I was smiling the whole time. So this is for anyone that couldn't come to the Viscosity event. The first gig in the better part of a year that I've truly been able to express myself the way I wanted to. 

Don't give up. You have so much more of your story to tell. Here's to another chapter.

Episode 76: Following What Feels Good In Your Body With Courtney Bishop

It sounds like you've been on a dedicated and authentic journey to build your career as a DJ and producer. It's impressive that you've stuck with it despite the challenges and setbacks, continuing to work toward your goals. The path in the music industry, especially as an independent artist, can often be frustrating and slow, but your persistence shows that you’re truly passionate about what you do.

It’s completely normal to feel frustrated when the number of followers doesn’t grow as quickly as you’d like. What’s important is that you continue to create authentic and high-quality content that reflects your own style and personality. Social media can feel like a never-ending battle, especially when it seems like you constantly need to be visible. It’s okay to take breaks and focus on your well-being.

As for your approach of releasing tracks, whether they’re perfect or not: that’s a fantastic mindset. It shows that you value the creative process and aren’t held back by perfectionism. Sometimes, the spontaneous and unfiltered moments resonate the most because they’re genuine.

Keep going, find your own rhythm, and don’t be discouraged by external expectations or numbers. Every success, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction. And as you said, have fun and enjoy the moment, especially as we kick off September!
