a friend of mine recently found a bunch of old sets from when i first started DJing, and we came across this gem - one of the first live sets i ever played! 

we used to rent a sushi lounge in teaneck new jersey to throw trance nights at. after people finished dinner, they would let us bring in speakers and move the seating out to make a makeshift dancefloor for the rest of the night. 

we actually had a few relatively crowded shows, some amazing nights, and others where it was just a few DJs and the sushi lounge staff just waiting for us to be done

listening back reminds me why i started doing this in the first place - to share music with a few people we know who love it, and maybe find a few more along the way. even found the tracklist from the nyc tranceaddict forums where we'd all share our latest mixes:

Whether performing in small, intimate venues or headlining major events, Paco’s name is synonymous with quality, creativity, and authenticity in the world of electronic music.

Born in Kyiv and based in Toronto, Sashy is a DJ and music producer whose lifelong passion for sound and creativity has guided her across continents and genres. A classically trained pianist and songwriter, she even rapped as a teenager in an all-female band before moving to the United States for university and eventually settling in Canada.

Since relocating to Toronto in 2007, Sashy has immersed herself in the city’s vibrant electronic music scene. Music has remained her anchor through every chapter - from cross-continent moves to motherhood. During the isolation of her maternity leave in the pandemic, she rediscovered her creative spark and pursued her dream of becoming a DJ.

Her sound - blending Afro House, Progressive House, Melodic & Organic House - has earned international recognition, with her mixes featured on global stations such as Ibiza Stardust, Mix365, and Remix Radiofy.

In 2024, she expanded into production, with her debut Progressive House EPs reaching the Beatport Top 10. With more releases planned for 2025 and beyond, her journey as a producer continues to rise.

Beyond the decks, Sashy is a corporate event planner bridging business and music through her Flow State of Mind series - curating electronic sets that inspire creativity and focus. She’s also the co-founder of Club Sirenis, a Toronto-based community celebrating local women DJs and producers, where every artist is a headliner.

Background
Tini Tun was born and raised in Mexico City, in 1990, along with his brother DJ Quecho, he formed one of the most important electronic bands in Mexico called Conditus. They composed several tracks like “Move Your Hands in the Air” and “Neptuno” which were released on several major dance compilations in his country.

National Experience
A year later at the age of 15, Tini Tun began his DJ career playing at the first rave parties in Mexico City, with excellent response from the audience. He became one of the pioneers of progressive music in the Mexico electronic scene. From then on, he has played around the country in all major cities like Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tijuana, Puebla, Cuernavaca, Morelia, Chihuahua, Culiacan, Merida, Cancun, Acapulco, Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Playa del Carmen, among others. Every year he is invited to play at the legendary BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen.

International Experience
Today, Tini Tun is asked to play around the world for his rapid career record and impressive impact on the international audience. He has played in several countries like Costa Rica (Contacto Parties), Peru, Argentina, Guatemala, El Salvador, the UK, Switzerland, Prague, Russia, Canada, Puerto Rico, the USA and South Korea. 
After becoming a member of the prestigious Balance Record Pool back in 1997, he performed in several festivals and clubs across the US at The Mardi Gras Festival in New Orleans, San Francisco (1015), New York (Twilo), Chicago (Crobar), Los Angeles (Giant), Colorado, Virginia, Atlanta, Seattle, Minneapolis and Las Vegas.

International Events
He has appeared at the Ministry of Sound Sessions for the UK Radio broadcasted on several radio stations in North America.
In the year 2000 Tini Tun played in front of 15,000 people at the ACA World Fest in Acapulco with an excellent performance.
In 2002, John Digweed shows Tini Tun as the first Mexican DJ, to be on his radio show Kiss FM in London, having a great response from the radio listeners.
In 2013, John Digweed invited him again for his radio show called Transitions.
