Rootikal Radioshow #85 - 30th June 2022

Singular / Just Can't see is the first installment of this new project.

Singular starts things off with a dark lurkey soundscape filled with lots of space. Each sound makes a statement and floods the listener with feelings of controlled chaos that flows along nicely.

Just Can't See completes the two-tracker with a bouncy flow full of swirling percussion and stabby bass-lines. The track then evolves to a more aggressive flow on the back half, showcasing a seamless transition to a slightly heavier feeling.

I am proud to start this new project off proper, and hope you all find something that resonates with you.

Lee Fry is the artistic name from behind which producer Roberto Orde Casetta
operates. Originally from Italy, Orde became passionate about reggae music as 
a child thanks to his sisters' Bob Marley cassette, and from that moment he 
embarked on a musical journey of personal research and promotion of reggae 
in his region.
Since 2000, he has not only organized events and concerts with the Rootz Flava 
crew, but also formed a band, Malaweeda, with whom he released three albums 
and performed in several concerts. Later he also explored electronic music and 
folk / indie with two other bands, VIP Veniamo in pace and Los Refusè.
In 2015 he decided to give life to the Lee Fry Music project, dedicating himself 
to the organization of events. These include the ETnICamente festival, of which 
he is the creator and artistic director, and collaborations with various theatrical 
companies where he supplies soundtracks and music production, showcasing 
his musical experiences "without borders" , with particular attention to reggae 
and black music.
Lee Fry Music has participated in the production of numerous albums and 
singles by other artists. He has four works of his own: three EPs, Mooga 
Sessions (2018), Andale (2019), and Dubitude (2021), and one album, Kalipè
(2020).

Keen Owl is a digital project started in 2015 by a young Dutch producer who made his debuts in Dordogne (France). Through the years he has had the opportunity to warm up various local soundsystems ; KN2S Kaya Natural Soundsystem, ADS Alternative Dub Soundsystem, SSF Sage Sound Family Soundsystem, RDS Soundsystem and various events such as the Dub is Dub (33), Steppers United (24), Marmelade Party (23), Dub Party by Lucane Music (33), Hemp420 Festival Digital Edition, recorded tracks for Culture Dub, Dem Asso and many private events as well as nomad record sales organized in his studio.
