Freak Genesis is the first EP in the official 2025 return of Gigglestomper to the digital space. The six songs included paint an overarching picture or Gigglestomper's beginning, fall, and eventual triumphant rise back to the top like a phoenix from the ashes.

Finally putting out this recording of last year’s set at Waking Life - it's been a quiet spell for me recently, but following the closure of Planeta Manas feels good to break it with this release.

Playing between Nídia and Cormac, I was faced with a mood and genre-defying challenge, ending up playing from 80 to 170bpm including polyrhythmic drums, gushing psychedelia, conjuring both luminous and ominous soundscapes. Graced with a critical mass of enthusiastic stompers getting lost against the most beautiful sunset at Praia stage.

Thank you WL for inviting me to play, and thank you Ivan for inviting Planeta Manas crew to attend this year - a sweet moment to replenish our energy to say farewell to our planeta.

My Own Funeral

It's always best to start at the beginning (ish), so here is a combination of my mixes from Collide and my time in the Black Mountains. It's a dirty, funky, cheeky, chunky, funky, womper of a stomper! REAL LIFE! This bad girl sounds just as good at the beginning of the night as it does at the end, so if it doesn't have you digging yourself a groove, the only alternative is to dig a ditch and jump on in!

Revisiting it from my old demo, I wasn’t sure it would make the cut—some of the lines feel a bit cheesy to sing now, two decades later—but it’s hard to deny it still works as a proper opener. Big, loud, and unapologetic, it sets the tone as a banger right from the start.

My Name is Marvin and music has pretty much always been part of my life. I’ll skip the cliche “ever since I was a kid” story you’ve heard it a thousand times before.

I’ve been producing techno for a while now, and this year felt like the right moment to start fresh. So I chose a new name and put my older tracks up on Bandcamp.

From here on, I’ll be sharing both new and unreleased material on a regular basis. There’s quite a lot in the vault, so expect a steady flow of sounds.

My hope is that some of you will connect with what I do and if a track or two finds its way into your sets, that would mean the world to me.
