Hjärngymnastik is my weekly digging project where I search for electronic music released before year 2001, sourced from vinyl, CDs and digital.

I started out as a Hip-Hop Dj about 1984, and began making music in about 1986 with a borrowed Roland TR-808 drum machine. I began my love affair with house and garage music on NYE 1987 - listening to Adeva's - Respect ....in the driving rain while on the M25 in London. Nowadays I like to make the music from my distant memories - early 90's house and garage, NY style. I play all instruments live into Logic (Electric Bass (Stingray), Keyboards (Korg Triton), and Guitar (Fender Stratocaster)) and rarely use MIDI. Drums all come from an MPC 2000xl and Akai S900 rack sampler or my Isla Instruments S2400. Please enjoy - and I'm happy to repost great sounding old skool house tracks - just shoot me a DM

Seemless is a versatile DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Berlin. He just started a new self-Release series SML REC, where he puts out his deep and powerful House grooves, sampling RnB and Hip Hop. Seemless is also part of the Berlin house vinyl label Small Great Things and a Co-Founder of Diskolusion.

Known for incorporating live instruments into his productions, he often features his saxophone, which he’s played since the age of 12, as heard in tracks like “Tulum Birds.” His piano and bass work infuses driving harmonies, particularly on his “Show Me” EP, while his vinyl release Night Ride saw him exploring vocals again on tracks like “Day Light.” Seemless now regularly integrates his voice into his releases, adding another dynamic layer to his sound.

At 30, this German artist is well-versed in energizing dance floors and captivating audiences with his emotionally charged, genre-blending sets. He’s earned a reputation at Berlin’s top venues and iconic New York spots like TBA Brooklyn and Chapel Bar, where he’s been described as a dynamic presence, seamlessly mixing old-school house with cutting-edge underground tracks, both his own and those of fellow producers.
