Radiance

“Aku Sendirian, ya?” is a chamber work that portrays the fragile inner world of an individual struggling with depression, anxiety, and auditory hallucinations. Through shifting time signatures, tonal instability, and physical gestures such as foot stomps and whispered shushing, the music becomes a direct translation of psychological fragmentation and inner resistance.

I. Kenapa suara-suara itu datang? (Why are the voices coming?)
Frantic changes in meter reflect panic and disorientation, as invasive thoughts interrupt any sense of order.

II. Aku hanya ingin tenang… (I just want to be calm…)
A nostalgic attempt at self-regulation collapses into dissonance and unresolved harmonic tension.

III. Suara itu belum pergi (The voices haven’t left)
Past motifs return, distorted. The inner noise persists. The final suspended harmony and a last foot stomp mark not resolution, but the mind left unresolved.

“All or Nothing” tells the story of someone sitting at a poker table, having pushed all their chips into one last, decisive hand. Between hope and fear, they question whether this all-in move will change everything or cost them everything. The song uses the poker game as a metaphor for high-stakes decisions in life, where you can no longer turn back once the cards are on the table.

„All or Nothing“ erzählt von jemandem, der am Pokertisch sitzt und all seine Chips auf eine letzte, entscheidende Hand gesetzt hat. Zwischen Hoffnung und Angst fragt er sich, ob dieser All-in-Moment alles zum Guten wendet oder ihn alles kostet. Das Pokerspiel wird dabei zum Bild für große Entscheidungen im Leben, bei denen es kein Zurück mehr gibt, sobald die Karten offenliegen.

together from two different worlds. Though their worlds have not yet collided, they are right
next to each other, there’s a quiet tension, a sense of awareness that something more is
developing beneath the surface.

Hi, I'm Faturrachman Rizal. I'm a self-taught composer and pianist from Jakarta, Indonesia, with a deep interest in orchestral and cinematic music. I began composing in my teens, driven by a curiosity for how melodies can express emotions and tell stories that words often can't. Over time, writing music became more than just a creative pursuit. It turned into a personal way to explore thoughts, feelings, and imagination. Each piece I create holds something meaningful to me, and while the process can be challenging, it brings a quiet joy that keeps me growing as an artist.
