Excited to share my week 17 track of the 52/52 song challenge! I’ll be dropping a brand new remix or original every Wednesday throughout 2025, and this week’s happened to be one of my all time favorite tracks. I remember discovering this track sometime in 2010 and listening to it on repeat for days on end! I felt like I didn't even fully understand what electronic music was at the time but I soon found it to be the only thing I listened to. Now here we are 15 years later and it's still all I listen to! Strobe by deadmau5 is one of the most iconic songs in the EDM world.
This cover was created out of the deep personal connection that Adam Pearce and I shared for this incredible song. We have both always been so moved by its unique arrangement and the way it tells a story, the emotional and euphoric melodies that resonate with both of us that we could never forget.

Now years later, we both wanted to honour these feelings and share it with a new twist! I decided to write a vocal melody with some fun and care-free lyrics to accompany Adam's instrumental take on Strobe. Together we were able to create something special that we are so excited to share with you all!

For Vancouver-born producer Adam Pearce, music has always been about connection. Often creating across a variety of genres, his music typically falls under the term "melodic bass” — a dynamic & deeply emotive sound.
Adam’s journey began in 2011 when he discovered artists like Porter Robinson, Skrillex, and Deadmau5. Inspired by their innovation, he taught himself to produce and DJ, focusing on crafting music that tells a story. His hard work and dedication soon earned him opportunities, including his first major show opening for Zeds Dead at Vancouver’s iconic Vogue Theatre when he was just 18.
Since then, Pearce has released music on renowned labels such as Monstercat, Heaven Sent, Dim Mak, and Ophelia, gaining the support of industry leaders like Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, Seven Lions, and Slander. With over 12 million streams on Spotify, performances alongside major acts, and official remixes for artists such as GG Magree & ARMNHMR, his career reached a large milestone in 2024 when he played at EDC Las Vegas on the Boombox Art Car.
Not only is Adam an experienced artist and producer, but he’s also completing a bachelor’s degree in audio engineering, constantly refining his craft. With plenty of new music and projects lined up for 2025, his focus remains on sharing his love of music and creating art that impacts others.
