It’s not been much of a Summer this year, so while the sun is shining and while there are plenty of cheap eats to sample, why not go on a picnic? Paul & Eli gather up all the PO Box snacks and head off to Wimbledon Common in South London for another outdoor misadventure. As ever, there are thrills and spills as the cheap chaps stumble, sometimes drunkenly, through the woods looking for little nooks and crannies to stuff their greedy faces. Over the next two hours, you’ll hear them question the existence of some awkward porn, get typically lost, discover an ancient well, get spooked by a lady in the woods, and force all manner of great and grim snacks down their gullets. There’s bickering, laughter and disgust… but will they find a bloody Womble? Find out!

Ep 346: Come Hungry!

Lights! Camera! Action! This week on CheapShow, we present the podcast edition of our YouTube Live Stream event… “The Trash Cannes Film Festival 2024” (sponsored by Graxton Industries)! Paul has arranged an evening of experimental short films, movie chat and a glittering awards ceremony. As you can imagine, it doesn’t exactly go to plan for Mr Gannon and there will be tears before bedtime as everything begins to collapse around him. A big part of Paul’s problem is Eli’s ego and his demands for “samples”. Will he get his hands on the mysterious Graxton chemicals and what will he say to accusations of plagiarism? Luckily, Ethan Lawrence joins us to add a bit of star power and represent his masterful mini movie! Sadly, Eli and Ethan are going to fall out, pretty quickly! And that’s before we even get to the horror of the short films themselves AND Channel 84’s sticky offering! FINALLY, as this event happened last week, Paul and Eli have recorded over 45 minutes of new, podcast exclusive, material to explain what’s going on and make many, many apologies. The show must go on!

After last week’s epic walkabout/Gannon’s Golden Games hybrid episode, it’s time to calm things down again. What this episode doesn’t need is violent meltdowns, stupid new characters, an appalling improvised song and useless conversational tangents… Sadly that’s exactly what you can expect in this week’s edition of the economy comedy podcast. It’s a simple enough set up with snacks, drinks and a Price of Shite from the PO Box. Over the course of the hour, Paul and Eli will drink milky booze, Minecraft Doritos, stare at arses, improvise songs over small electronic fidget toy music and muse over some new noodles. It’s good comfort food podcasting at CheapShow HQ and with the added bonus of introducing the world to Donna Eggs, who’ll solve ALL our problems!
