We Have To Talk

I tried to believe, but with everything happening in the world, it’s hard to pretend that peace or freedom will ever truly prevail. Day after day, things keep getting worse because of leaders who only understand hatred, violence, money, and power. Peace and love? Never.

What’s even worse is the people who stay blind, manipulated, supporting all of it, sometimes without even realizing it. You can’t think clearly when you’re controlled by evil, lies, and propaganda. If people want to move forward and live in peace and freedom, why not simply leave them alone? Why take their land? Why force them to become like you? Why push them backward instead of forward? Why manipulate, lie, kill? Why not choose peace?

And too often, it’s always the same kind of leader — an old man stuck in the past, seeing only hate, refusing to change, refusing progress, yet never refusing violence. When I saw them roll out the red carpet for that demon, I realized our world was completely ruined. The United States, China, and India are supposed to stand for real peace, yet they choose to support the enemy. How can you shake hands with someone dark enough who has blood on his hands, welcome them with a red carpet, laugh with them, and defend them? Money and business always seem to matter more than humanity, the future. People keep supporting and voting for those who drag the world down instead of moving it forward. Their place should be in prison, yet they are presidents. Some people have a deep fascination with evil — I will never understand it.

My thoughts go to all the innocent people imprisoned, suffering, cold, and hungry — to those who want peace, to those living under dictatorship and lies, to those who lost their lives, to my family, to the future of my country, the future of the world, and to my own future. History keeps repeating itself, but this time it feels like we’re heading toward a real ending — pollution, climate change, natural disasters, terrorism, cartels, wars, drugs, nuclear threats, hatred… Day after day, year after year, the world keeps sinking deeper.

Let’s treasure our loved ones while we still can, before the storm.

Now, Make America Bad Again wants to force Ukrainians to vote while they are in the middle of a war for their peace and freedom. Why do this now and not after the end of this war? I don’t know — maybe to let the demon once again manipulate people, the elections, the votes, just like they managed to do with America. Thank God, recently, Moldova didn’t fall into the trap; they opened their eyes. Here in France, we will have to be very careful with the National Rally (RN) who is linked to that demon.

Above all, do not be afraid, do not panic, keep your eyes open. What must happen will happen. But when I look at my nephew’s little angel face, all of this hurts me so much. I think about his future. It’s crazy how one single person can divide the world. I have tears in my eyes, but I try not to cry. I’m sure that if he were still here, if he were president, things would have been much better — but they killed this hero who only wanted peace and freedom, just like Martin Luther King and many others. We will not forget you, Alexeï Navalny.

Maybe one day things will change, maybe one day the whole world will open its eyes.

I don’t believe in it anymore.

Who will stop them?

I hadn’t planned to add missing songs or to start writing here a sort of Anne Frank–style journal, but all of this hurts, and I needed to speak. Even if telling the truth is risky it doesn’t matter. I am not afraid. I am strong, physically and mentally, and ready to defend the place where I grew up and the place where I will die — France.
