Fast Lane

Il “Mark IV” dei Factory riparte da The Weight e lo fa nel modo più naturale possibile: chiudendosi in sala prove, alzando i volumi e trattando un classico come se fosse un pezzo nuovo. La novità più evidente è il ritorno alla chitarra di Davide Spanu, che riporta nel suono della band quel misto di gusto southern e ruvidità rock che è sempre stato nel DNA dei Factory. Al suo fianco, l’ingresso di Claudio Sanna alla batteria porta un drumming solido, rotondo, molto “americano”: meno fronzoli, più groove, con un feel che richiama apertamente il mondo di Woodstock e del country-rock anni ’70.
Silvio Vinci tiene insieme tutto dalla sua postazione, alternando piano e organo: un’intro d’organo che apre il brano come un sipario di velluto e un solo centrale che firma il pezzo con il suo classico tocco soulful. Chris Pain al basso costruisce fondamenta elastiche e melodiche, sempre al servizio del brano, mentre Antonio Miscali alla voce solista e alla chitarra acustica porta la dimensione narrativa: il timbro caldo, leggermente graffiato, si appoggia perfettamente sul tappeto sonoro della band, con la chitarra acustica che dona quella patina roots indispensabile.
Queste sessioni di prove non suonano come un semplice “ripasso di repertorio”, ma come una vera ripartenza: i Factory Mark IV sembrano ritrovare se stessi tornando a uno dei loro cavalli di battaglia, ma con la maturità di una band che ha storia sulle spalle e ancora voglia di rimettersi in gioco. The Weight diventa così il manifesto di una nuova fase: stessa anima, ma energia rinnovata.

The Weight  (Factory Mark IV) - studio session 26 nov 2025

Con Tin Soldier i Factory Mark IV dimostrano di avere ancora benzina ad alto numero di ottani nelle vene. La cover dello storico brano degli Small Faces, da anni presenza fissa nelle playlist live della band, in questa sessione acquista un tiro ancora più deciso, come se il gruppo avesse voluto misurare la nuova line up su uno dei pezzi più “pericolosi” del proprio repertorio.

Claudio Sanna imposta subito il passo: batteria asciutta, aggressiva, con rullante che taglia il mix e un feel marcatamente sixties ma con l’impatto di una band moderna. Su questo tappeto ritmico, Chris Pain al basso lavora di incastri e controtempi, mantenendo sempre quel mix di solidità e fantasia che è uno dei marchi di fabbrica dei Factory.

Davide Spanu alla chitarra si muove tra riff nervosi e piccoli ricami melodici, pescando tanto dal linguaggio brit-beat quanto dal rock più sanguigno: niente imitazione pedissequa, ma un omaggio filtrato attraverso il suono personale della band. Silvio Vinci, al piano e all’organo, colora ogni spazio disponibile: accordi pieni, stacchi precisi, piccole frasi che incalzano la voce e spingono il brano verso l’alto, come ci si aspetta in una vera rilettura “Factory style”.

Al centro di tutto c’è la performance di Antonio Miscali: la voce è intensa, tirata il giusto, capace di riprendere l’urgenza del pezzo originale senza scadere nella copia; la chitarra acustica aggiunge corpo e ritmo, rafforzando quell’effetto “band che suona stretta e compatta” che si respira per tutta la traccia.

Questa versione di Tin Soldier suona come una dichiarazione di intenti: i Factory Mark IV non si limitano a riproporre un classico, lo usano come campo di prova per un suono più duro, più coeso, più consapevole. È la conferma che la nuova formazione non solo funziona, ma è pronta a spingere il repertorio storico della band verso un nuovo livello di intensità.

Independent musician, songwriter & producer in his music lab. The alchemy of genres.

Originally from Monte Grande, a town south of Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have been immersed in electronic music since my teens and have been developing my career professionally since 2023.
Currently, I focus on producing progressive house with techno undertones and hypnotic melodies, seeking to create a sonic journey that evolves with intensity and groove.
When playing, I consider myself characterized by a progressive energy and detailed construction, where each set is a narrative designed to immerse the audience in a state of trance and continuous dance.

Audiøsick, aka Bill Paliogiannis is an upcoming Dj/Producer with a name inspired by the hard and dark sounds that characterize his music. Bill grew up in a suburb of Thessaloniki. In his early ages he came in touch with music as a bassist in local bands and then he discovered his passion for electronic music.Afterwards he started to practice further and play as an amateur in local clubs. In 2016 he attended music technology courses of #A2LTD which opened doors in the music industry. Also, participated in the 13th Djs contest “City in the mix” which took place at “The Real Rocknrolla” and acknowledged 2nd among 15 competitors. Since then he has made appearances in prestigious clubs of Thessaloniki, such as “The Real Rocknrolla”, “Tokyo Citybar” and “The Host”. Meanwhile he showed up in Mykonos, Chalkidiki and Volos. Soon after the seminars Bill among other Djs in town has established a new concept. They came up with the idea of a floating club (Frigate Club) which occurred in summer 2016. Last but not least he joined “Bass.sessions” project which took place at “The Real Rocknrolla” and after that he joined George Adi’s project “Faces Series” at Tokyo City bar. Furthermore ,Audiøsick participated in  #Deflektiv ,a project that came up with 3 others local dj’s. Moreover,he played for #DriftSessions at the "MADAM"  skybar in Amsterdam. Nowadays  Audiøsick  focused on making his first steps on producing while he's participating in different projects of Thessaloniki and all around Greece.....

olliray makes emotive, cinematic music that sits between intimate piano ballads and modern electronic soundscapes. A singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from London, he blends live piano and guitar with textured production to create songs that feel close and expansive at the same time.

Alongside his original work, he records stripped-back piano and guitar covers of songs he loves. These late-night performances sit naturally beside his own writing, shaped by the same focus on atmosphere, storytelling and emotional detail.

He had a short spell of violin lessons when he was younger; everything else on piano, guitar and production is self-taught. That instinctive path runs through his music; he writes, plays and shapes his songs by ear, chasing what feels honest rather than what follows the rulebook.

His debut single BoxRox and first album Stuck in Traffic captured a raw, lyric-driven phase where he produced and sang everything himself. Between followed, pushing further into experimental electronic textures. He then released Piano for Yoga, a live, meditative piano recording created in a single continuous flow for a yoga video soundtrack.

In 2024 he returned to his roots with Lost Romance, an album built from songs written 18 years earlier and revisited with a more reflective, nostalgic perspective. It moves between gentle piano pieces and fuller arrangements, tying his early ideas to the sound he has grown into now.

He is currently working on new music that continues to blur the lines between acoustic songwriting and electronic production, always searching for the balance between warmth, space and emotional weight.
