Can't Stop Thinking

Jagged Jungle EP 18 is a sun-soaked sonic journey through global house, tropical grooves, and deep melodic rhythms. 

Opening with the lush, cinematic tones of Forester’s “I Can See You Everywhere,”

 the episode gently builds into Bakermat’s euphoric “Wahejo” before diving into a swirl of progressive remixes and organic house textures.


From the coastal reimagining of “Uruguay” by Nora En Pure & Sons of Maria (remixed by EDX), to the club-ready energy of Dirty Channels and Danny Russell’s “Watchin Out,” this set balances emotive soundscapes with dancefloor heat. 

Highlights include the introspective build of “Before The Storm” by Sultan + Shepard & Rinzen and the sunrise-ready remix of Shouse’s “Sunrise” by Adam Ten.
Closing with the electrifying global bounce of “Bailar” by Deorro ft. Elvis Crespo and a return to Forester’s dreamy “Midnight City,” EP 18 feels like a late-summer festival set designed to lift spirits and move feet.

I made this remix days ago. It's a techno remix of a 2000s alternative rock song. The original is one of my favorite rock songs, so that's why I decided to make a remix of it. I remember listening to this song when I was younger. Anyways, I would like to start making more techno, because the trend has been big for a couple of years. Techno is a boring genre, but it's good at best. Enjoy my techno remix of this alternative rock song.

Missing You

There was a trend in 90s house music where the actual lyrics of whatever song was being sampled (and filtered) was purposefully inaccurate--instead of saying what they originally said, they were listed as to what they sounded like...and because of the brain's desire to discover and embrace patterns--whether or not those patterns are actually there--the brain will start to hear what your eyes tell you that you should be hearing.  

The best example of this was when Chicago (yes, the band) had their song "Street Sounds" sampled by The Bucketheads (Kenny Dope!)--but the song was not titled "Street sounds fall into my mind," as the original lyrics would suggest.  

Instead, the song was called "Da Bomb."  

(...ahhh, you see what I did there.)  

Well, this was going to be another one (though, nearly 30 years later)...as I was going to call this track "Diva Getting Stronger"...despite the fact that the first vocal element is saying "Keep On Getting Stronger"--you can "hear" it as "Diva Getting Stronger."  The other vocal sample "could" also be heard as "Diva, Diva, Diva, Diva, Body Strong..."  It's not, the sample says "Keep That"--not "Diva."  But it's more fun to think of it as, like the thumbnail, a fierce ruling diva pumping iron in the gym and seeing massive gains.  

This might be my favorite Interbay house track.  Big statement, I know, but this fills me with the same vibe I had when I spent every Saturday night spinning for a packed house of 1200 and the juice that provided.  It is a hard feeling to replicate, all these years later--but this track has hints of it.  

Would I have spun this?  I think I would have.  

...and I think it would have kept the floor jumping.
