I have long been an admirer of Brian Cavender's music. Under the name Seafoam he has been producing some of the most excellent laid back and dream state, deep house music.

Since as far back as 1999 he found a home on labels such as Guidance, Straylight, and Lo-rise Recordings. A 13 year haitus led to Seafoam productions having a higher stock price than facebook on Discogs, making original copies something you handle with care and try not to scratch. 

Rue De Plaisance stepped up in 2017 with a collected works compilation which marked the return of Seafoam. Since then we have been gifted with regular nuggets of house on a regular basis. If you head over to Brians bandcamp you will find even more music to discover. 

I was delighted when Brian agreed to curate a mix. His request was to create a downtempo offering of all his own productions. 

YES YES YES. We speak the same language. 

Let your mind float, to the sound of Seafoam.

Dan Piu is a DJ/Producer that has commanded so much of our attention in recent years. And quite right, too. 

He seems to have an unlimited supply of new material and rediscovered dusty dat tapes. His release of EP’s and Albums has been relentless. Track after track of high quality house music.  

As a DJ you can hear a lifetime of digging experience with each set, often selecting music that would be hard to acquire had you not been active in “the scene” at the time it was made. 

It was a huge treat to receive a mix from Dan. Here he presents an hour of rare sounding music from a dimension left of centre. I cant wait to dig in again and again and discover the labels and producers selected for this mix and go down the rabbit hole.

Adriano Suares iniciou sua carreira de DJ em 1996. Em 2009, no Rio de Janeiro, estudou Produção Musical na Home Studio - Sergio Izecksohn. É também produtor cultural, com realizações que revolucionaram toda uma geração e ainda continua se comunicando com as novas gerações.

DJ Bacana é o pseudônimo utilizado para sua vertente focada em House e Techno. Já Bacana Music é um projeto que transita por outros atuantes no cenário nacional e da região Nordeste. Pela Lei Aldir Blanc, o DJ lançou sua primeira live patrocinada: Bacana Music Live, no Farol da Ponta Verde, em Maceió. Anualmente, realiza seu principal projeto cultural, intitulado Substation, com 28 anos de existência, resistência e persistência.

Mora em Maceió, onde nasceu, mas o projeto Bacana Music surgiu a partir de uma necessidade do DJ de entender a preferência da cena, já que toca para mais de um tipo de público. No Sudeste, foi residente da Fosfobox Club (RJ) com seus after hours, que se chamavam Sub Club. Ainda no Rio, Bacana Music foi selecionado pelo projeto Geração Eletrônica e seu set ficou hospedado na antiga Galeria Oi Futuro, localizada em Ipanema. Em São Paulo, no club D-Egde, Bacana Music se apresentou nos projetos Paradise e Cio.
