Few years ago I recorded this tribute dj set using only tracks released on DJ Bone's label, "Subject Detroit." This is my selection from the entire digital discography. What I aimed to represent is a journey through introspective, tribal, and almost hypnotic sounds. I’d also like to thank DJ Bone for being a great inspiration and for introducing me to new sounds that were not part of my musical selections before.

"For this mix, I actually did something really special. I’m premiering the remixes from my Subject Detroit compilation, and I’ve also created five new tracks specifically to play in this mix. There are a couple of other tracks from some amazingly talented artists in there as well. The focus is an uptempo, danceable, but super funky techno mix – not sleepy, not slow – just Detroit style. That’s what I love to do. It’s got to be funky, but it has to have that pace and danceability."

The Mix 060: DJ Bone

Antonio Stasi, known by various aliases such as Ok_Tony and Flaco, is an Italian DJ who has been immersed in nightlife and club culture since the age of 13. At 15, he began his professional career as a PR for the Red Zone Club in Italy. This early exposure to the club scene laid the foundation for his diverse and versatile career as a DJ.

Tony is a highly eclectic DJ, seamlessly blending genres like House, Techno, Afro, and Funk. He started DJing in 2005 in underground clubs across Europe, Australia, and Asia, while also exploring a wide range of musical styles. For ten years, he was part of an underground music collective, where he not only performed as a DJ but also helped organize music festivals and free parties in Italy, Spain, and Eastern Europe.

In 2014, he moved to Amsterdam to give his career a fresh direction, and in 2017, he met DJ Bone, who became his mentor. Through this connection, Tony found his place with FURTHER, becoming a resident DJ until 2024. His career is marked by a deep exploration of diverse sounds and the ability to create unique experiences for his audience. On September 16th 2024, he celebrated a significant milestone with his first release, “Sollievo”, marking an exciting new chapter in his musical journey.
