Juan is a Progressive House producer and DJ whose career began at an early age, driven by a deep passion for electronic music. Over the years, his distinct sound and dedication to the craft have earned him recognition and support from some of the most influential names in the genre.

Bio:-
Katrin Souza is a composer, arranger, remixer, and ghost producer from Russia, 🇷🇺 creating music since 2009. “I’ve heard melodies in my head since I was a kid,” she says—a spark that grew into a lifelong passion. 🎚️🩶🤍

By day, she worked to support her children; by night, she taught herself how to write music. 🎹 “Life wasn’t easy, but it made me stronger.” Through dedication and persistence, she reached a professional level, 🎚️ and her tracks began gaining global recognition. ⛓️➰

Katrin also produces under a second alias, Aømioomørï, where she explores contrasting styles such as synthwave, retrowave, vaporwave, chillwave, ambient, and phonk. 🙌🏽🫧

About the mix:-
This set is more than just a mix 〰️— it’s a reflection of moments collected over time. A deep ⚫️ journey through Progressive House and Melodic Techno, 🎚️ built with tracks that carry weight — both sonically and emotionally. 🖤

Opening with Matter’s “Wombat Forest”, the tone is set with cinematic tension and textured grooves. It's the kind of opener that hints at something expansive. ⛓️As we move into Nohan’s “Road to You” (Eli Nissan Remix), the mood shifts — warm, melancholic, and undeniably nostalgic. 🤍 🙌🏽Eli Nissan’s remix has been a standout since its release, often surfacing in unforgettable sets from the late 2010s. It brings back memories of sunset moments and after-hours dancefloors — a track that aged beautifully. 🖤

Hans Gerd’s “Sea Life” and Mike Rish’s “Shokl” hold down the midsection with moody, groove-driven energy. Then comes “Menq” (Nick Warren & Nicolas Rada Remix) — a deeply emotional rework of an already powerful original by Hraach & Armen Miran. This one has history; it’s the kind of track that’s been passed around for years among selectors who understand subtlety and emotion. Hearing it again here feels like meeting an old friend. 🎚️

Subterránea Podcast - VIC EMOTION | EP #133

Underground Colombo (UC) was envisioned by Kushan Dissanayake, and his co-founder, Kasun Dissanayake, who is known as Kais D. This dynamic duo, driven by their shared passion for underground music, embarked on this journey together in 2016.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of Sri Lanka's music scene, they had a vision—to cultivate a close-knit community that immersed itself in the rhythms they cherished. Alongside them was their best friend, Buddika Wijebandara, forming an unbreakable trio.

Their first step was the establishment of a Facebook community, a digital haven for kindred spirits, which rapidly flourished and now boasts a dedicated following of 15,000 strong. But that was only the beginning.

Determined to take their passion to the next level, they decided to launch their own SoundCloud page. This expansion was made possible with the unwavering support of Azmara Veera, a pivotal figure in UC's journey. She, along with the team, contributed creative forces that allowed UC to venture into new territories. 

However, UC isn't solely about music; it's a dynamic, all-encompassing experience. They added a unique visual and editorial flair to UC, making it an aesthetic delight.

Underground Colombo on SoundCloud is more than just a platform; it's a testament to the commitment and dedication of these individuals and the community they've nurtured. The beats, melodies, and sonic landscapes come to life through this collaborative effort.
