Thank you so much for listening to my audio editing assignment. Honestly, I wanted to create something that makes the listener feel like they’re really at the beach, not just hearing it, but feeling the peace that comes along with it. The main idea behind my project is to xplore the calmness of nature. It’s about how a fun, happy moment can slowly turn into quiet reflection & peace.

The soundtrack kicks off with the a kid laughing. I chose that sound because it reminds me of childhood, memories, and the simple joy of being free without a care in the world. It also helps the listener imagine people playing and having fun before the scene starts to quiet down. As the track goes on, I even used sounds like ocean waves, wind blowing, and a flock of seagulls (not the 80's band, lol!). I believe that these sounds will be able to set the atmosphere & make it feel as if you’re standing right by the water, listening and thinking.

At the end, the laughter fades away and the waves become louder & even more powerful. The piece finishes with the sound of waves crashing on the beach. This ending is meant to make the listener feel grounded and peaceful, almost like they’re breathing with the ocean.

Overall, Headspace at the Beach is about finding calm within noise, peace within movement, and quiet within memories. It’s a short sound journey that takes you to a relaxing, peaceful place through sound alone.
