Natuta—DJ and co-founder of the Eau De Cologne queer party series at Bassiani is deeply committed to building and sustaining queer spaces. 

During her time in LA, Natuta immersed herself in the city’s vibrant house scene and queer underground, an experience that sparked her vision of solidarity across borders, linking communities through shared sound and expression. 

Returning to Tbilisi gave her the clarity to realize this vision, connecting with like-minded creatives to transform collective experience into a  platform for queer visibility and connection.

Her international presence continues to grow: Natuta is a frequent guest at Basement, New York and has just recently performed at  festivals including Roskilde (Denmark), Whole Festival and RZ Festival (Berlin).

DJ Natuta’s mix delivers a hypnotic journey through deep house, driving techno, and energetic breaks. She blends groovy rhythms with atmospheric textures, tribal percussion, and acid-infused melodies, creating a set that’s both dancefloor-ready and immersive. Her selections highlight her skill in merging classic and contemporary sounds into a captivating, high-energy experience. This set also celebrates the energy of RZ Festival and its community. It revisits a selection of tracks from her performance there.

First of all--the algorithm has done yesterday's track a bit dirty.  Maybe the unpronounceable name has limited the number of people it gets recommended to--but "Xylyl" is a track deserving more listens than just 14 (which it has as I type this)...so, even before checking out today's Interbay track, take a couple moments to give that one a listen...then come back here and give that same love to "I Can See The Light."  

Now then...(thank you, for those of you who actually did that!)...here's a little bit about "I Can See The Light".  This is synth pop with horns (both synth horns and heavily filtered 'real" brass) and a rock song structure.  In other words, once again, it's an Interbay track.  

I think what will get the most attention in this track are the vocals.  No spoken word narrators on this track, this is proper singing from a proper singer...bluesy and full of emotion.  (And taken completely out of context, which I hope is enough to keep Icarus safe for their efforts here.)  

My favorite part is probably the tom tom heavy drum break with chopped up vocal samples flying back and forth.  Reminds me of the sometimes dubby sounding middle breaks found in certain Led Zeppelin songs--which, you have to admit, is an odd thing to say about a synth pop tune made in 2025.    

So, if you like the poppier or rock-leaning Interbay tracks...or you're a trainspotter who might be shocked by the audacity displayed here...or you just enjoy the crazy rollercoaster that Interbay takes you on every single day (so far!)...I think you'll like "I Can See The Light".  (I also think that you'll like "Xylyl"--though they are quite different adventures entirely.)

(I have no idea what's going on with the SoundCloud recommendation program that I use, but every so often Interbay tracks just...miss everyone.  It isn't because the songs are particularly bad, because they're not being listened to...  Normally, not too big of a deal--but it's been happening more and more lately, including for the last two days.  Sure hope it doesn't happen again, today!  If you're reading this and can spare the time, please listen and like this song...but also yesterday's track "I Can See The Light" and the previous day's track "Xylyl" (or, really, ANY Interbay tracks.  Thanks!  Appreciated!)  

I sometimes talk about the strange journeys that these Interbay songs can sometimes take from whatever inspired them to however they end up when they escape from the Labs to here on SoundCloud.  It is rarely a straight line...and today's track, "Heartbreak (Hear Your Voice)" is certainly one of the unstraightest.  

...which is strange, because it is one of the purest pop/synth pop tracks that I've yet made.  

How could its journey from idea to track be twisted?  Well, let's start with the fact that this was not the track I worked on yesterday.  It was the track that I started late last night when I realized that the track I had been working on was taking me down a dead end.  That can happen and the best thing to do is to put it aside and pick it up again later, with fresh ears.  But, though there are a couple of completed tracks sitting on the shelf...they didn't feel like something that I wanted to share at this moment--for various reasons.  

So, despite being incredibly tired, I started a new FL Studio Project and...well, frankly, I didn't know.  I didn't have anything burning in my brain that I couldn't wait to make happen.  I found a sound I liked, I found a nifty little pattern for that song...and...I fell asleep.  (Told you I was tired!)  

The last thing I remember is giving it a temporary project name "judicate".  Is that even a word?  (It is--but it means the same thing as adjudicate, which is far more common.)  I remember thinking that it could be a cute pun about having a conflict with someone named Judi-Cate, or TWO people, one named Judi the other named Cate.  

But, when I woke up...all I saw was eight notes of music and the word "judicate"...and I'd totally forgotten why I'd picked the word or what I thought I might do with it.  

I dropped my kid off at PAXwest and on the way, I had the idea that this little trifle of a tune could be giving me its theme--a little bite of music.  I started thinking of words to go with this idea--appetizer, nibble, morsel, tidbit, amuse-bouche, canape, hors d'ouevre, snacks...  

I even broke out my microphone, thinking I might sing some lyrics that I figured would be easy to whip up, given all of those specific ideas already in my head.  (I did not end up singing on this--you're welcome.)    

While I worked on the music, I just wasn't in the right mood to think of lyrics based on little food (I blame Mounjaro).  And, as I kept adding layers of music (though, it remains a rather focused and simple tune--for Interbay at least), the less I thought it fit the idea that I'd had in the car.  

In the end, I settled for some royalty free synthwave vocals...a cheeky sample that hopefully Icarus won't risk melting for...and an ending that got totally out of control.  (But, hopefully, in a good way.)  

It is the toppermost of the poppermost--and I compromised on the title, as I had a few to choose from.

Nexus was founded in 2024 and represents the current songs such as Blackout Romance and further upcoming releases. The project emerged as a spin-off from CoolCatSound, which Guido Odendahl originally started in 2023 together with his daughters as a side project.

His musical roots go back much further: In the early 1990s he founded the label Music in time and released his first electronic tracks. In 1991, his track “GPF 497” appeared on the compilation Techno Modulator Vol. 1 (Ohrwurm Records) – at that time already on CD, which was considered progressive for the electronic scene. In parallel, he worked in sound design and audio programming, including a collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute on a 3D audio technology for stereo headphones, where he was co-holder of a patent.

Until 2017, he lived in North Rhine-Westphalia; since then, he has been based in the Allgäu region, where he lives with his children. He was married, is now divorced, and continues his artistic work from there.

The releases of Nexus are distributed via RecordJet / Neighbouring Rights. Musically, Nexus moves between cinematic synth layers, electronic structures, and intense emotions. Alongside instrumental works, songs with vocals are also created – sometimes performed by himself, but preferably in collaboration with female vocalists.

Vicious Disco are Jenny and Ben, two thirty-something introverts, with a passion for music.
