I never get round to recording live sets at gigs, so here's one I played at home. Complete with 3 previously released tracks, improv, seeds for new tracks, mistakes, on-the-fly decision making and raw unmastered sound waves.

The set up:

Midi daisy-chained Korg Electribe SX, Drumbrute Impact and XOX Box. Three melodic synthesisers with built in sequencers: Roland Juno DI, Microkorg and Minilogue XD.

My set of synthesizers and samplers also includes their unique sounds, so I was able to use them. Shamisen, koto, biwa, taiko drums, and shakuhachi have always had an exotic appeal to me. Now you can hear them in a trance style. Enjoy!

Mój zestaw syntezatorów i samplerów zawiera także ich niepowtarzalne dźwięki więc mogłem je wykorzystać. Shamisen, koto, biwa, bębny taiko czy sahakuchachi zawsze były dla mnie egzotycznie pociągające. Teraz możecie je usłyszeć w stylistyce trance. Dobrej zabawy!

In some words:
Composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist. Born in Argentina,
I studied music in Buenos Aires, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Paris.

For 20 years, I developed an important career as a session and backing musician in Argentina and Europe, playing, among other instruments, the bass, touring and recording with many jazz, rock, fusion, world, Latin and tango bands.

At the same time, I worked as an arranger, producer and musical director with many projects and artists in the USA, Argentina and Europe.

From 1992 to 1997, I performed my compositions live with my own band in Buenos Aires and began a solo recording career with the worldwide release of my first album "The Years Alone" on the North American label Green Linnet/Xenophile. On this album I arranged and performed 11 of my songs written between 1986 and 1993. I played most of the instruments, but included guest appearances by some great South American players.

My recording career continued with "Segundo Ciclo" (1997), released worldwide by Timeless Records, and 12 more albums released between 2000 and 2016.

Currently, I work as an on-demand film/TV composer while continuing to play live and produce.

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.
