I have the impression that some contemporary music sub-genres of trap and drill are going to be similar to the early 10s dubstep / brostep. I'm not a real fan of all thse genres but i like the idea to make music using heavy synthetized basslines and minimal syncopated drum beats. I made this "bass based" jam using the synth engine of my new Hacktribe, the unofficial firmware update for Korg Electribe 2s, in order to get heavy distorted FM bass growls, precise synthetized drums (except for the snare top made with a sample of clanging keys sampled directly on the groovebox using a Zoom H1n condenser microphone) and transparent addictive keys. The performance is completed by the feedback fx of the Korg Kaossilator Mk1. Enjoy!

After dozens of electronic jams i decided to make a small serie with a more focused on music and finished tracks with my hardware. This is the first of the serie, i used my Korg Electribe 2s / Hacktribe (for the drums and distorted basses) and the Novation Circuit for arp and keys. About the Hacktribe i can say again that is a great upgrade, i made the drums sounds mainly using FM operators, trying to emulate the clanging percussive tones tipical of Sophie / PC Music productions, also the distorted basses are made in FM using the internal saturation and distorsion. The arpeggio is made with the great synthetizer of the Novation Circuit, a wavetable with a flexible matrix, i programmed it using his computer editor and programmed with the great pads / 2 octaves keyboard, about the key not sure at 100% that it's mine program but programmed in the same way :D

Hi my friends !

Finally i am back with another Synthwave track !

These days I watched the series "Wednesday" on Netflix, dedicated to Wednesday Addams and I have to say that I really liked it, especially the performance of the beautiful Jenna Ortega :).
I wanted to dedicate a new original track to this series and, it seemed perfect, a track in pure Darkwave style !

Wednesday (Original Mix)

Another session for my WFZ Project. This time i used, as a support synthetizer, the Modal Craft Synth 2.0, a mono wavetable synthetizer that i'm still exploring. As a main sequencer and synth i used my Korg Electribe 2s / Hacktribe, that permits to synthetize a deep and round drum kit and evolving FM basslines, typical of experimental drum and bass / deep dubstep production.
