Sjökapten - Yrkesspecial

Graham Palmer is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in the Santa Barbara area, and owner of Surprise Studio in Buellton, California.  Palmer has performed with and/or recorded a wide variety of artists in his 20+ year career in the music business including Mad Caddies, Antonionian, Wil Ridge, Remy Morritt, Arwen Lewis, and others.  After spending over a decade as a touring bass player, Palmer settled down and built his studio in 2022, where he works as a composer and studio engineer for a multitude of projects in the music and film industries.

Current Projects:

Imbibe - A short film.  Music composed by Graham Palmer.  All sound recording, dialogue editing, and sound design by Graham Palmer.  Currently in post production.  Beginning and end musical themes attached.

Song Club Radio Hour - A weekly show comprised of about 15 singer/songwriters/producers. Each week the participants are given a song title and 3 prompts (some musical, some not) and are tasked with writing, recording and releasing the song 6 days later on the show's broadcast.  It airs live on Friday nights on the Song Club Radio Hour YouTube page as well as KPTZ 91.9 in Washington.  Season 6 starts this fall. Graham Palmer joined the show back in 2020 at the start of season 2.  Two sample songs attached.

Redacted Choir - An instrumental duo featuring Graham Palmer and Jordan Dalrymple.  2nd full length LP is completed tracking and currently being mixed by grammy-winning mix engineer Cian Riordan (St. Vincent, Sleater-Kinney).  One sample song attached.

Logan Livermore Band - 6 piece alt-country project based in the Santa Ynez Valley.  The band features Logan Livermore, Graham Palmer, Sascha Lazor, Austin Beede, Nick Fitzgerald and James Longoria.  Full length LP in the works.  One sample song attached.

Kinothek - Solo project by Graham Palmer.  A new EP is very slowly being worked on, when there's extra time between other projects.  One sample song attached.

SN1|EP 11 - Graham Palmer on The Arwen Lewis Show

Trumpet player, worship director, jazz quartet leader,
family man, and longtime Santa Ynez Valley local, Alan Satchwell’s rich melodic notes and smooth, sophisticated vocals have inspired listeners at Los Angeles’ coolest jazz clubs.  In 1996, a visit with his wife Christi to the Santa Ynez Valley inspired them to pursue a move there.  At the time, Alan was part of a Los Angeles gospel choir, and Alan asked the choir director if she knew of any full-time positions in The Santa Ynez Valley.  She told Alan that The Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian church was in need of a worship director, and now, Alan and his family have resided in Santa Ynez for 25 years, where Alan is a staple in the music scene. Alan started playing trumpet when he was 8, and began playing solos in church.  By age 13 he was a soloist playing live gigs with the Lawrence Welk Band throughout California and Arizona.  We are playing some of Alan’s most recent recordings today, and we are going to get to talk about that project, plus hear live trumpet performances.
