I wrote "Wounded animal" when I was bitterly heartbroken. It details how I was searching for someone/something but no-one was giving me what I needed. And they couldn't because all I needed was her. I envisioned a wounded deer searching for shelter in the rain and no-one allowing it in. Leaving it bleeding out in the cold. I cry out for her to hold me as she once did. But the only person comforting me was me "I find my own arms around my body". A deeply emotional ballad about heartbreak.
