Throughout human history, communities of people have been faced with oppression, persecution, exploitation and genocide. Change is made by people not complying, not budging, not moving, not giving an inch even in the face of these brutalities.

This song and clip (featuring South African vocal group Cula Mzansi, led by legendary singer and activist Stella Khumalo) strives to connect and pay respect to these acts of defiance, from their own roots fighting the Apartheid regime, right down to the current struggle of the Palestinian people, and on to all other forms of resistance against oppressors.

A true pioneer of the European techno underground, Max Durante began his DJ career in Rome in 1987 and quickly became a key figure in shaping Italy’s early industrial techno scene alongside D’Arcangelo. His deep influence on the 1990s techno movement helped define the country’s raw, experimental sound. Today, Max is a resident at Berlin’s legendary Tresor club and was also the first resident DJ at HÖR Berlin. Known for his precision, intensity, and flawless turntablism, he continues to inspire with performances that radiate pure energy and authenticity.

This mix was created using three CDJs and a drum machine, forming a sonic mosaic that reimagines iconic tracks from artists such as Aphex Twin and Mescaline United. Max blends these with his own new and unreleased material, looping and reshaping sounds to explore the future of techno and electro. Refusing to follow trends, he stays loyal to his sound — industrial, uncompromising, and rooted in freedom.

Toxic Aftertaste - quick bite - FULL SONG ON PROFILE!

"You want to know how often I feel frayed?  All the time."  

There are books  (like "Revolution in the Mind") that describe the recording processes used by The Beatles to such degree that you could tell whether George Harrison had had his tea when he recorded his solo for a specific song.   

I find that fascinating (and yes, I LOVED Peter Jackson's "Get Back" documentary/recovery.)

Now, Interbay is NOT The Beatles (a phrase I never would have believed that I'd ever feel the need to utter) but I sometimes feel that you could, by listening to Interbay songs and reading these descriptions, understand what's going on in my life (and sometimes the world.)  

Today's Interbay track, "Frayed", was written and produced in its entirety over the past two days.  And if you get the general sense from this track that I'm feeling "a bit stressed"--well, I guess you don't need the Interbay version of "Revolution of the Mind"...because you cracked the code!  (Whoa-uh-oh.)  

The sinusitis that started in Southern California has turned into "the crud"--so, I've been feeling miserable--my throat is sore, my brain is mushy, can't talk, everything hurts, and let's not talk about food (either going in or out...ahem.  TMI?  Probably.)  I haven't felt this bad in a long time.  

Still, I dragged myself (as safely as I could, in this post-pandemic, always-pandemic world we live in) to everywhere I had to go, got done everything I needed to get done (well, there's ALWAYS more to be done.)  But I didn't do so without stress.  

Then, at one in the morning today...my kid comes out of their bedroom and says "I just threw up".  They'd stayed home from school, but I thought it might just be a Ferris Beuller situation ("Lick the palms.") and they just wanted to play video games more than they wanted to go to school.  Since I'm not a doctor, I usually will err on the side of caution.  I'm glad I did.  

Less happy about having to clean up everything (which was substantial...and delivered with some force in a wide spray pattern) while sick myself--but it felt strangely good, too?  I'd been the husband of a woman who fought stage IV colon cancer for six years...I helped clean up a lot of messes.  

And it is nice to feel useful.  Even if that means picking up chunks of shark shaped fish nuggets from a pile of dirty clothes and a recently used suitcase and the hallway and the bathroom (in general) and etc.  

This track is noisy.  It is aggressive.  It is uptempo.  It comes with jump scares.  And it is all about feeling like you're at your wits end.  (Or, that I felt like I was at my wits end when I made it...but feel free to join in!)  

Synthpop/hard house/techno?  As ever...it's Interbay.  Mutant pop made by a crazy old man with questionable skills and too much time on his hands.  

Who doesn't want an endless supply of that?

Post-punk / alt-indie rock formed in the 90s → recently revived with new releases of old and new material. Raw guitars, lo-fi edge, melodic hooks, and protest-leaning themes. Full new album live now.

Formed in 1989 as various other names until we settled on Conduit in the early 1990's. Started jamming in a chicken coop, recorded music on a 4-track reel-to-reel, evolved to digital technology, Cakewalk, Acid Loops, etc... in the 1990-2000's.

Live electronica is Gamma Rave’s basic mission statement, the latest project from Will Harwood (Gadje Scum), Sanne Werkers (Brazzmatazz, Den Hoed Music), Jonas Nyaarr (Idealus Maximus, GoToEleven) and Geert de Waegeneer (Thou, BOMA Studio).

The group aims to bring dance-floor-filling electronic dance music to the live circuit, taking a fresh approach to the genre by combining the synthetic tones of electronica with the more raw style of punk.

If anything, the band is as much “live” as they are “electronic”, with a dynamic sound that is constantly shifting in style and mood. Songs often fade in on a sinister trip-hop groove, before flowing into a hip-hop flavoured build, and then finally breaking out into a screaming Drum & Bass climax. A healthy dose of dub, dubstep, rock, and techno, also helps to keep the songs fresh and surprising.


Having shared stages with the likes of Asian Dub Foundation and Dub Pistols, as well as having played a closing set at the Gentse Feesten and performing at the prestigious Boomtown Fair in the UK, Gamma Rave has all the makings of a dance-floor shaking spectacle.

Post-punk, dance, indie, electronic, and mutant pop in various styles (seriously!)--new tracks being posted daily (every day for over a year, so far!)

Interbay is the new project of Peter Greyy (previously of Cremation Dance and DangerScience), based out of Seattle and Phantom Laboratories West.
