Starhunters_Episode2_LIVE in Denver, Opening for StarLab

TIP Record's DJ/Producer Lucas O'Brien is back with the sequel to his highly acclaimed, chart-topping compilation 'Avant Garden' (2015) which features a selection of tried and tested sonically diverse tracks by some of his favourite artists that he's been playing in his DJ sets worldwide. For this project, Lucas sourced music from what he considers the most cutting edge, pioneering producers on the scene - Hallucinogen, Raja Ram, Ingrained Instincts, Outsiders, Laughing Buddha, Martian Arts, Earthspace, Audio Unit and Everblast - as well as being substantially involved in the production side himself under his various guises: 'SuperModule' (his solo project), 'Mandelbrot' (his project with Celli 'Earthling') and 'Sybarite' his project with Ric Featherstone. The compilation begins with one of Lucas' trademark introductions, once again collaborating with label founder Raja Ram. Designed to tickle the eardrums and get your body moving, Avant Garden II represents the flow of a psychedelic trance dance party by kicking off with a slower and groovier vibe, then building up the pace and intensity steadily as the album progresses... eventually reaching a more night-time style peak, whilst still keeping Lucas' characteristic funky element in the tunes. Towards the end of the album, the music transitions into a more dawn friendly style to land you safely onto a blissful cloud of psychedelia. As was the case with the first Avant Garden, Lucas used the exquisite artwork of TIP favourite visionary artist Brahma Templeman, this time commissioning a painting exclusively for the cover which illustrates a beautiful psychedelic garden. When I started djing (2003) I learned to mix psytrance and a couple of years later I found Hard Full On and Dark Trance and focused on those genres... it was until I attended a Psytrance Festival named Rounders Festival (2008) that I saw GMS & Pixel performing live for the first time, it was nuts, Eli (Pixel) made me dance and enjoy every single sound he was playing so good that since that day I consider myself as his Padawan, he is (still) one of my favorite Djs of all time, alongside with Avi (Astrix), Erez (Infected Mushroom), Bansi (GMS), Yuli (Perfect Stranger) & Matan (Sesto Sento).
So when I got back home I decided it was time to mix Psytrance again and I came up with the idea of having a side project named Twilight Factory.

Robin is my little brother, a little guy who started going to psy parties since kid under the supervision of our mom, he started listening to psychedelic trance since he was a baby so he've been witnessing me all along, so when he turned 18 he joined me attending festival and gigs, it was an honor for me to teach him how to mix, guiding him into his own quest and research of a music taste, then one day we had an invitation to play in a party hosting Z-Cat, so we practiced together and delivered a good dj set mixing my experience and his fresh ideas, that's when we decided to create the project Twilight Machines.
Now, we have shared stage with some of our favorite artists and played in many gigs across the center of Mx.
We recorded this dj set in 2019.

Ingrained Instincts is a unique project consisting of Tilemachos Vlachos, and Dafy Deliangelos from Greece. Both have shared the same passion for Psychedelic music since their very early days. They met in 2001, formed a project together, and started to develop a different sound, but one totally sympathetic to the scene, and yet wholly psychedelic, and funky! 

After many years of experimentation, the Ingrained Instincts project was born in 2014. Their sound could be described as an amalgamation of many variations which don’t fit in one box – definitely different and organic sounding. For their production they use analogue as well as digital hardware, and are building their own modular system. Tilemachos also has a downtempo project called “Escape Velocity”, with releases on Spiral Trax, Sonic Loom and Eardream Music amongst other labels. Ingrained Instincts are signed with Sangoma Records and so far released on TIP Records, Nano Records, Future Music Records, Blacklite Records and more. Ingrained Instincts have been busy touring around the globe and have performed live at some of the biggest festivals of the Psytrance scene such as Boom, Ozora, Universo Paralello, Sonica, Antaris, FreeEarth, Indian Spirit, Kosmos and many others… 

This is one project you have to keep an ear out for, because before you know it you’ll be dancing away. Uncontrollably! It’s infectious.

He‘s feasting on music: 2 – 4 hours of fresh sound. Every single day. A diet that makes Sebastian Kos a remarkably up-to-date and versatile DJ. Also a good reason why the Swiss is gaining more and more popularity at the moment.


Back in the day, music selection used to be the most important job of a DJ. In face of the ever growing torrent of new sound out there, it seems like this skill is rapidly becoming increasingly important. Swiss DJ Sebastian Kos is a good example: His sets are highly eclectic, they derive ideas, styles, and taste from an extremely broad and diverse range of Psytrance and its subgenres. It‘s no surprise that he is often booked to play during the prime time of a party, as he seems to have a very special knack for playing the right tune at the right moment. Speaking of right tunes: There‘s always a fair share of unreleased tracks in his collection. Spinning records since 1997, he gained great technical precision, frequently playing in the tropical party hotspots of Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and Bangkok for the last 12 years added to his sound a feeling of internationality and acidic sexiness. In this respect Sebastian is a perfect match for Antu Records, which he currently represents as a label DJ.
One impressive example for Sebastian‘s skill is Summer Never Ends Festival 2013, where he hit the spot and sent the 10,000 party heads on the main floor to a most blissful state of mass euphoria. Listening to new music in his home studio for 2 – 4 hours every day and managing an increasingly tight booking schedule is still not enough to keep him occupied. Since 2013 Sebastian Kos is organizing both Psychedelically Family and 7sd parties. The next edition has been announced for April, it will be a joint venture with Xerks Music and will take place in Switzerland. Also watch out for the first chapter of the Psychedelically Family compilation, to be released sometime in the year. In May, Sebastian Kos will play at the Shankara Gathering in Denmark. In 1994, Raja Ram formed TIP Records, one of the original Goa-Trance / Psy-Trance labels based in the UK.  He had already been releasing music with his band The Infinity Project (T.I.P.) since the late 80's and after putting on, now legendary, TIP parties around this time, the idea to start a record label was conceived.

30 years on, TIP has gone from strength to strength with 100's of cutting-edge electronic music releases to date including highly respected classic dance music compilations right through to experimental downtempo and ambient music to a world wide (perhaps even inter-galactic)loyal following.

As ambassadors of the label, Raja Ram and DJ Lucas O'Brien (SuperModule) presented their label showcase touring the globe for over 20 years bringing the TIP sound to a wider audience.

Neill Moore is a London based DJ,  Producer and Live Act who makes and plays a diverse range of what might often be categorised as morning psychedelic trance, yet you can frequently hearing him playing anything from progressive to twilight or anything in between.

He has been involved with the trance scene since 2004 and is a trained audio engineer,  Ableton certified trainer and electronic music production teacher in both schools and private settings.

Starting out with vinyl turntables and now mostly performing on CDJs, Neill's distinct mixing style is one of a fierce and fluid nature, taking advantage of any effects or equipment on stage to the max and often bringing along additional musical machines to spice up his sets. Alongside that his well recognised rock solid harmonic mixing allows him to captivate the audience with spell binding story telling that is always something fresh and never pre-planned, always feeding off the vibe of the crowd and maintaining the almost lost art of traditional DJing.

As a trained synth programmer Neill also teaches a patch design module to his students.  Nearly all sounds from his tracks have been self-crafted from the initial wave upwards, enabling him to create unique music that fans instantly recognise and get grooving to. He has also worked and designed patches for legendary synth developers Access and Rob Papen.

In the past Neill has produced music in a wide variety of styles, ranging from subtle movie music phases for film, to synth rock remixes which have been slapped on the front of episodes of Mixmag magazine and anything and everything in between.

​Neill has taken his music all over the globe and has held residencies at some of London's most memorable and iconic venues and events such as Ministry of Sound and the legendary Planet Angel. He has also worked closely with some of the largest festivals in the country such as Boomtown Fair, Noisily and signed to famous UK label, Liquid Records. He has also had the privilege of playing at venues such as Troxy, Camden Palace, Hidden, Coliseum, Electric, Scala, SE1 and many more.

​On occasions you can catch Neill playing his NEO live PAs where he brings on stage his productions, broken into stems and loaded into Ableton, live Virus Ti and Nord lead synth playing, a bunch of software synths being triggered from MIDI controllers, EFX1000, Kaos pad3, drum machine as well as a load of software effects being mapped to controllers to bring new life and uniqueness to his already obsessively crafted music compositions, written over long periods of time in his studio. It usually takes Neill at least one year to finish a track and he currently has around forty favourites in his latest live set. Alongside this, he also designs movies for some of his tracks and is looking to expand into a more visual/audio experience in the future along with the birth of his own new record label.

Founder of Paradigm Productions DBA FAZE 2 Audio and Just Dream in Denver, Colorado, Alexander has been involved in one way or another with Psychedelic music since his first open air, full moon gathering back in the late’90s. Inspired by USA crews and members within, such as Moontribe, Green Sector and Psytribe, all out of Southern California, he began shifting his musical focus from a more “commercial” sound toward a few different styles within the Psychedelic and Goa niche, hopeful of connection with local likemindedness.
He has built multi-faceted recognition into his production and audio company names, not only by crafting open-air gatherings and indoor one offs, but also consulting for other promotion teams, as well as assembling a world-class, 40 cabinet Turbosound Aspect audio system, experimenting with nightclub promo and ownership along the way.
Playing festivals and gatherings around the US, Alexander’s sound has been influenced by many international artists on several labels, ranging from Progressive, late afternoon grooves, to full power Psychedelic locomotion that drives a night time dance floor. Several recent years have found him traveling overseas to experience what large festivals such as Boom and Ozora bring, adding to the enthusiasm that has commanded his Psychedelic attention to date, and allowing connections with the right people to become part of the team at Tribal Gathering in Panama.
An experienced audio navigator with nearly 20 years at the helm spanning several genres of dance and Psychedelic dance music, Alexander can craft a set for any groove of a party or festival, creating atmospheres of cosmic unity and inspiring high-energy dance floors.
