it’s time to put that uk-garage sound on! 😼

hi there,

i would love to take you back to the night of friday july 9th ‘23, which resulted in a night to remember. my girl @janeinthemix was about to host her first party at my homebase club atelier and invited me to take things to another level. ‘’this’, she said, ‘is the time and safe space for you to do something you normally wouldn’t do and to show what you are made off’’, and in order to get comfortable out of my comfortzone, i was about to play some uk-garage.😇

*little side note, as you may know i do not play uk-garage in my sets!😌
so, for me it was the first time ever to play a uk-garage only set, which supposed to be a fun sort of mischievous opening act from this li’l hosting at ateliers’ small room.😼

the moment i started prepping i had some tracks in mind but lots of diggin’ was required in order to compose an accessible, cheeky, energetic, happy one-of-a-kind set, reflecting my versatility as a dj and my appreciation to certain garage producers. therefore, i selected tracks by artists among which @theartfuldodgerr, @craigdavidofficial, @disclosuremusic, @interplanetary-criminal, @mj-cole, @toddedwards3000, @shermanology, @sunship and more..🔥

however, one day before the event the lila room (where i was supposed to play) was exchanged for ateliers’ main room… it seemed it went down sort of plot twist in which my former ‘smart move’ not only got me into some serious business, it also got me in some stressy troubles, as it turned out that sucre. had to open the indoor clubnight right after @michel-de-hey closed down their busy poolparty outside...😶
no shit, i thought that i’d brought myself in some real trouble here… but, as it turned out, it was totally wicked! 
whilst working hard delivering a good mix, i enjoyed every second of this somewhat one-in-a-lifetime experience!🤪
