A wide-ranging discussion follows the release of the final Mission: Impossible film... perhaps. José doesn't believe that they'll stop making them, nor does he want them to, but he is glad that Tom Cruise appears to be hanging up his boots - he's just too old now. While he reflects on Cruise's career and stardom, Mike's watched every Mission: Impossible film in anticipation of The Final Reckoning, and tracks changes in their aesthetics, sexuality, and comic tone, as the series worked its way towards finding the formula that's become its signature.

De drieëntwintigste aflevering van het vierde seizoen van Cinepraatjes, de podcast van Cinemaatjes waarin we eindelijk Bram en Leon van Moviegelul met Vrienden weer samen hebben gebracht om met ons een podcast op te nemen. Ze brachten de befaamde Haribo Colaflesjes mee, wat wellicht ook de chaos verklaard die zich ontwikkelt in deze aflevering. Bram heeft wat onzinnige nieuwsfeitjes over Tom Cruise en zangeres Merol. Leon heeft een anekdote over Bradley Cooper, die hij misliep door ons. Marino heeft weer een prachtig sonnet voor ons geschreven, waarvan we de titel proberen te raden. Leon heeft het heel kort over ‘Havoc’ met Tom Hardy. William heeft het over ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, die JP eerder al eens besprak. Bram bespreekt kort de serie ‘Andor’ en de Marvelfilm ‘Thunderbolts*’ en JP keek een horrorcomedy uit 2023 ‘Here For Blood’. We trokken de horrorklasieker ‘The Changeling’ uit de kast (van een huis). In de Special doen we wat we elke keer met de mannen van Moviegelul doen, we gaan weer eens een verhaal uit de duim zuigen en komen er zo achter dat we dat helemaal niet kunnen en uiteraard beantwoorden we ook weer vragen van luisteraars over o.a. Stephen King (films), de beste staaltjes overacting, overleden acteurs die uit de computer worden getrokken, Nicolas Cage en overschatte filmklassiekers. Tightwad Tuesday is a Davis family tradition to keep our cinemas alive. My son Luke and I made an astonishing amount of them since he got back from Deutschland, and we go over those 2024 releases here.
