Theme: Total Freedom By The Man Of The Cross!

Sub-theme: Freedom From Sin By The Man Of The cross!

Scriptures: Romans 7:24-25

INTRODUCTION 

When God gives you freedom, He gives you complete freedom! 

Sin is a power that enslaves. Because the first Adam fell and was enslaved to sin, all people are born bound to sin. Sin separates you from the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

Romans 6:5-7

At the cross, Jesus was declaring death to sin. Today we declare death to every sin! We bring your sin to the cross of Jesus Christ. There is no sin that is greater than the man of the cross! 

Your redemption from sin cannot come from the blood of animals or your family. But your redemption is in the man of cross who died to set you free completely. He does not only want to liberate your body from sin, but also your mind and heart! 

The devil is on a mission, he comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Behind sin is the devil who is on a mission to bring death. 

When the devil introduced sin, he was thinking that we would remain bound and die in sin. But Jesus, the man of the cross is the way out of sin (John 14:6)!

The price has already been paid. Yours is to enter the freedom that has already been given to you. It's not enough to say that you are free, God wants you to live in freedom! 

HOW TO ACCESS GOD'S FREEDOM?

1. Divorce sin 

Grace is freely given, but you need to receive it. To receive grace you need to divorce sin. Sin is anything that separates you from the glory of God, whether good or bad! What is it that is separating you from the glory of God? Divorce it - separate yourself from it!

On the cross Jesus was crucifying sin! 

2. Believe in the man of the cross (John 1:29).

True freedom is found in Jesus, whether we have things or not. Our freedom in Jesus is not attached to anything of this world.

Look at the Lamb on the cross and be set free. Sometimes things bind you because you give them attention.

3. Receive the new nature.

The nature of Adam is a nature of the first covenant, a sinful nature. God does not want to just set you free, but He wants to give you also a new life. 

Romans 6:8-10,14

The nature you must receive is that of Christ. When God sets you free, you are free indeed. Freedom is not for you to do whatever you want, but it's for you to give yourself back to God. That's how you maintain your freedom.

Sub-theme: Freedom from Suffering and Pain! 

Scripture: Isaiah 53:4 | 1 Peter 5:8-9 

It is the desire of God to set you free from any form of suffering and pain. God is pleased when He sees His people free. In the same way that our physical fathers are not happy when their children are in pain, God is even more displeased when He sees His children in pain. 

Jesus took our pain, He carried the suffering upon Himself (Isaiah 53:4). When there was no one, Jesus stood for us so we may live. A true father will allow himself to be beaten so that their children may live. 

The true shepherd will walk you through. Jesus went as far as death in order to liberate man from every kind of suffering. Jesus appeared to crush the works of the devil. 

Sufferings have a source, Satan is the source! The sufferings of Job had one source — Satan. Be free from blaming others when you begin to suffer. The source is Satan, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but principalities in high places. 

“Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Peter said stand firm in faith and also be aware of Satan! God has spoken through our father Rev Kiluba wa Kiluba this week, God has seen the suffering in your life. Some people are suffering in their minds, others in their hearts, others in their body. All sufferings have one solution: The cross of Jesus! 

Jesus cares, He wants to carry your pain. Whatever it is, bring it to Jesus. 

The daughter of Abraham was bent for many years. Some people have reached a point where they’ve embraced their sufferings. Don’t receive that lie. That pain and suffering is not forever. 

The desert of Jesus was not meant to be forever. After 40 days and 40 nights Jesus came out of His desert. You too are coming out, your desert is not meant to be forever! 

We declare death to your suffering and pain! Believe again! Jesus cares more than you care for yourself. Jesus wants to heal you!

INTRODUCTION 

God will reach out to you. I know this God, this God reaches out to people where people cannot take you out of. No one could reach out to Tabitha, not her works and neither did the people that loved her. But this God did. 

God feels your pain, He feels what people cannot feel. Never forget that God is compassionate. People can suffer so much that they end up believing that God is evil .

God loves you, He wants to make you whole and restore you to your initial state.  

THE SEASON OF HEALING THROUGH WORSHIP (Exodus 23:25).

God is releasing a powerful move of healing  through worship in this season. It is not for nothing that we are being taught worship. This movement is not a one man show, but it's a movement of the body. 

It is going to be very powerful through worship at JTL. And God will use many to release this move.

Do not be discouraged when you feel heavy because there is more that God will release through worship. There will be worship and people will be delivered. There will be worship and Jesus will come.

What kind of worship is God looking for? 

The worship God is calling us to is not songs. In Psalms God says "Let everything that has breath praise God". But in John 4:23 God is not looking for everyone but those who will worship in Spirit and in truth. To worship in Spirit and in truth is to give yourself fully to God (Romans 12:1).

God is saying give yourself, not many things. Why do you withhold yourself? You have no right to not give yourself to God as a living sacrifice. You cannot make it by yourself and the things you have, your material possessions and connections.

Give yourself fully to God because there is a sin that God hates - giving ourselves to other gods. When we give ourselves to God, He becomes a Holy God and when He is Holy nothing is impossible for Him. There will be no miracle we will not see!

CONCLUSION

Do not remain among those who do not believe. Keep believing even when it doesn't make sense!
