For Episode 38 of UndrCtrl, we’re joined by BL SUEDE, artist, label head and cultural agitator flying the flag for house music with purpose.

His latest release, “Fire (Kevin Saunderson, Dantiez E Dancer Detroit Dub)”, is more than a remix. It is a heavy blend of legacy, lineage and intent. Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and his son Dantiez bring weight and vision to the rework, linking generations and cities through groove and resistance.

The original track, co-produced with Mark Cole, opens with the voice of Dr Cornel West and takes cues from James Baldwin’s “The Fire Next Time”. The message is clear. The music is built to move bodies and minds.

That same duality runs through this guest mix. It is deep and focused. Rich in rhythm, thick with soul. From the poetic pulse of OVEOUS and the warmth of Luis Radio to late-night rollers by Julio Bashmore and Catz’ n Dogz, this set tells a story without shouting.

Along the way, BL SUEDE weaves in his own work, from the sunlit throb of “Glam Life” to the full-circle energy of “For Your Love”.

Marcelo Iniciou sua carreira como DJ em Florianópolis no final de 2017, rapidamente somou em seu currículo apresentações pelo Brasil, e em setembro de 2018, exatamente quando completaria um ano de carreira, tornou-se DJ residente da Damage Party, em Santiago do Chile, país no qual desde então esteve em oito temporadas para apresentações exclusivas em diversos selos. 

Durante a pandemia, Marcelo se afastou dos palcos sem perder o foco na produção musical, o que elevou nível de qualidade de seu trabalho e expandiu o alcance de sua música. Uma breve visita em seu perfil do Spotify permite notar colaborações e remixes para grandes nomes da cena tribal mundial. Desde o retorno às apresentações, em outubro de 2021, Marcelo Almeida esteve presente em grandes Clubs e selos no Brasil e no exterior, com passagens por Lisboa, três apresentações no México e três, também, no Chile.

VMC iniciou sua carreira em meados de 2000 no projeto ALTAR (VMC + Macau), que é responsável por grandes sucessos que influenciaram toda uma geração como: "Sound Of Your Voice” (Top20 Billboard), “Away From Me”, “Hold Me Now” e “Can U Hear Me” feat Amannda.
A parceria com a cantora  “Jeanie Tracy” rendeu ao Altar o 1º lugar na revista “Billboard” com “Party People” (sendo os primeiros artistas brasileiros a conquistar tal feito na categoria Dance Music). Depois do grande êxito na Billboard, ALTAR licenciou “Party People” para o filme Bring It On: Fight to the Finish (As Apimentadas: Ainda Mais Apimentadas), da Universal Studios. Em sequência, outros sucessos como “Everybody Up”, “Turn It Out”, “We Will Be Free Tonight”, “Viva”, “Andale” e a aclamada "I Live 2 Dance" estouraram no mundo inteiro.
“Sexercise”(2004), interpretado por Katrina K. continua sendo um dos maiores hinos da dupla.
Em carreira solo, o DJ/Produtor VMC lançou vários  singles como: “VAI”, "Suave", "People Talk feat Joe Welch", ``Walls of Science"entre outros. Com os vocais marcantes da DJ Cacá Werneck, VMC produziu: "Instinto”, "Agua Y Amor" e o hit "Que Vibe É Essa".
Em 2018, os seus remixes para "Loren Allred - Never Enough" e "Las Bibas From Vizcaya - Divadrag" estão entre as músicas mais tocadas daquele ano.
VMC foi residente do extinto Club "The Week" e hoje faz parte do seleto grupo de DJs do selo "The New World", criado pelo icônico produtor "André Almada".
Depois de uma longa pausa imposta pela pandemia, VMC traz novos trabalhos em 2021 como "Closer feat Gal Albargil", "The Vibe feat DJ Dimitri" e "2 The Beat".
