Tui is a Texas-based author and speaker who travels the world exploring historic cemeteries. Through her books, presentations, and tours, Tui brings cemetery history to life. Her bestselling works include: Paranormal Texas, Understanding Cemetery Symbols, and 6 Feet Under Texas. Tui’s research has been featured by numerous outlets including Coast to Coast AM, ABC, NBC, CBS, LifeHack, and TimeOut Travel. She currently writes a monthly column for American Cemetery and Cremation and occasionally teaches cemetery history at TCU. Her favorite way to teach is by leading tours of historic cemeteries. Recently, an art tour hired Tui as a cemetery symbolism guide in Italy and have since invited her back for 2025.

tech inside: the latest on AI

A new version of Seelenabenteuer (translated soul adventure) as Jeroen once came up with this beautiful title to describe this style of sets. This is now number 3 and more than ever a soul adventure - at least, for me. This set is dedicated to my trip through New Zealand, where I was with my love last January and February. This country and this trip made such an impression. Everything was about nature, hiking but especially slowing down. And that is exactly what I tried to capture in this set.

The tracks come from a playlist that my bestie Fiona and I carefully put together, called Heart & Mind. I actually listened to this playlist a lot during the trip. During the car rides, at the nature campsites, during the sunsets, in the middle of nowhere (which there was quite a lot of). 

The set starts with the sounds of the New Zealand birds, mainly the tūī: a sound that makes me instantly happy when I hear it again (bird nerd here). Furthermore, during this set the mixing is not so much central, but rather the choice of music and order. I really enjoyed making this because it takes me back to New Zealand, as much as it is possible.
