2020 Podcast 13 - Tara Putra

Gaggalacka celebrates its 20th anniversary. The Double-X in the artwork as well as the hourglass mirror this journey and also give a hint for the future, as we are not even close to running out of time, ideas and motivation. The festival behind the name has grown within the last 20 years, but has remained faithful to its visions and unique spirit. It constantly mingles newly discovered talents with already known and well established artists in its line up. Gaggalacka as a festival takes place on phantastic locations, such as a stonepit, a hilltop at 700m altitude, a freaky farm and a dream beach and therefore mirrors the nomadic nature of the Psychedelic Trance Culture. It always offers an unforgettable psychedelic playground for children, no matter what age they might be. The group of diverse freaks creating this festival for all of us always keeps the focus on numerous other cultural and artistic activities, highlighting diversity rather than profit. 

To celebrate 20 years of music, art, chaos, smiling, dancing, friendship and creativity with you, the music experts of the Gaggalacka family got together and extensively made use of this very quiet time to create this double free compilation for your personal listening pleasure. As we live in troubled times, we have decided to highlight the option to donate money for this release. All money collected will be forwarded to a benevolent cause according to the statute of the Gaggalacka association. We will keep you informed as soon as we know whom to support. Keep an eye on our Social Media if you may want to have a say and propose organizations ;) 

The first part of this double release reflects the wide range of styles that the musical program of the Chill-Thrill-Kill-Out Floor. Only the unexpected should be expected. We hope you can tune in and drop out with this collection of dreamy chillout music and sounds that are too fresh and new to put them in any box. We are looking forward to meet all of you soon at a Gaggalacka event in the near future, maybe even this summer ;)

Some say that the world we live in, how we perceive it and each other within it, is nothing more than a figment of our imagination. To quote Bill Hicks: "we're all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves". Is it really the case? Who knows. Luckily you can at least taste how it's like to be such an ethereal, otherworldly entity - the music here is quite literally an "astral connection" to such reality, leading you through dreamy, emotional and spacious places in one moment, to suddenly propel you into an uplifting, energetic and joyful - or paranoid - state shortly after. And then back. And round again. It's a rollercoaster ride of contrasts: slow vs. fast, dreamy vs. scary, electronic vs. organic, simple vs. complex.

Started turning tables back in 2005 DJ:ing all kinds of Genres at different parties and nightclubs across Sweden.  Evolved by time and found my true source in the forest. Now playing on many different psychedelic parties across our lands.

Music to me is a source of emotion. It gets me deeper and deeper the longer we listen to it. Down as far as I can go and explorer the emotions and other sources that tickles our brains...It's art, it's a beautiful language that can be expressed in many various ways and that's all about what my mixes and music are about. Creating different worlds for us to explore. 

By listening with just your whole body we should be asking ourselves, what do you feel? Connect deeper with yourself and just be there, right in your center. Balance! Let's get all Zen and have a lot of unexpected fun journey's. <3

Moony is a producer, DJ and promoter who since 2016 has been touring around Polish and foreign festivals, as also club events, like the moon around the Earth, presenting his lunar music. He has performed at the largest dub and psytrance (chill stage) events. 

His achievements include two full-length albums for the French label Maree BASS,
one mini album for the English label Visionary Shamanics Records and many singles and remixes.
The author's album "Lunar Visions" received many positive reviews and was hailed the album of the year in
the "Strefa Dread" broadcast in radio Four, and he himself was named the Hope of the Year 2020. 

His music is a walk through the moon on the border of dub, psydub and chilltrance. 
Low bass and strong kick along with a meditative skank are wrapped in a psychedelic cloak wovened with harmony and mystery. 

As a DJ, he presents the climates of South America as well as soundsystem sounds.
He is the organizer of series of events promoting bass music, such as: Dub it !, Vege Dub Night and Bassówka.
From the beginning of the pandemic, the founder of the project "Radio Kwarantanna", which promotes DJs and producers in live stream formula. One of the members of the Korzenie Poznania collective - The Roots of Perception and
the Banati Crew collective.

"2020" is the electronic music project of the Iranian artist Amin Moeini, hailing from Fars Province in Southern Iran. Born on November 21, 1988, the artist Amin Moeini has always had a passionate interest in music, so at 13, he started to learn to play the xylophone for 1 year. After receiving his master's degree in physical education in 2015, he chose "2020" as his project's name representing his debut as a musician. It then took Amin - a self-taught musician - three years to produce and finally publish his first piece of music in 2018 which was initially met by DJ Shahar's support, the very same musician who played Amin's first single at the 2018 Boom Festival. He emigrated to Ukraine in late 2020 but for some reasons he had to move back to Iran again.

The concept of the number "2020": Number 2020 brings together the energies and attributes of the number 2 and number 0, both appearing twice, amplifying their influences. Number 2 resonates with the vibrations and attributes of service and duty, balance, and harmony, adaptability, and diplomacy, cooperation and consideration, receptivity and love. Number 2 also relates to partnerships and relationships, intuition and insight, faith and trust, and serving your Divine life purpose and soul mission. Number 0 carries the energies of the ‘God’ force and Universal Energies and reinforces the vibrations of the numbers it appears with. Number 0 resonates with developing one’s spiritual aspects, the beginning of a spiritual journey, eternity, infinity, oneness, wholeness, continuing cycles, and flow, and the beginning point...
