Jeanne van Gorkom has a life interest in adult education and learning, and works within various volunteer organisations. A member of the Friends of the Taranaki Museum Oral History Group, Jeanne conducted a number of interviews on the voluntary organisation SeniorNet, recording its formation and first four years of operation.
Mary Donald interviews Jeanne van Gorkom about her connections with SeniorNet, an organisation which promotes the use of computers and runs training programmes primarily for middle aged and senior people. The interview also records the reason why the SeniorNet project was developed and recording methodology.

Virginia Winder interviews Lance Girling Butcher (Editor Daily News) regarding his memories of June Litman, Chief Sub Editor of the Taranaki Herald. A stickler for spelling, style and grammer, June was mentor / tormentor of all junior journalists during the late 1960s and 70s . Lance recalls her management style, mentioning other journalists who were on the scene at the time and worked under June.

An unidentified man and woman talk with Peter Williamson. Peter, who was quite elderly at the time of recording, recalls his childhood, specifially in regards to his schooling - travelling in a gig, corporal punishment. He recalls people who lived on the Bedford Road, the dairy factory etc.
This is a poor quality sound with no identification, date etc. There are many pauses as they look and ponder over photographs.

Taranaki Mountain, the second-highest peak on New Zealand’s North Island, has been granted legal personhood, giving it the same rights and protections as an individual. This designation, deeply rooted in Māori beliefs, ensures that the mountain and its surrounding peaks are treated with respect, shifting the way natural features are viewed in law. Visitors will be encouraged to self-regulate their activities, learning to honor Taranaki as an ancestor.

Geographically, Taranaki Mounga is one of the world’s most symmetrical volcanic cones, towering over the Taranaki plains. It is also believed to be the country’s most climbed mountain and a major tourist attraction.

Culturally, this decision finalizes a 2016 settlement addressing the Crown’s Treaty of Waitangi breaches, which included financial reparations and an apology for the 19th-century Taranaki wars. Taranaki now joins Te Urewera (2014) and the Whanganui River (2017) as New Zealand’s third natural entity with legal personhood.
